Now that I finished Oathbringer, I wanna go back and see connections. Need to go through Warbreaker too, and maybe Elantris.

Let's say spoilers for Mistborn and Stormlight and a wee bit of Warbreaker:

Are there any major connections beyond Hoid? I know Szeth's sword came from Warbreaker but nothing seems to explain how the fuck it got on Roshar

Tons and tons.

The biggest three I know:

Vasher appears in the Stormlight books as well. That's how Nightblood got there.

Sanderson has confirmed allomancy has happened in one of the Stormlight books.

The big bad of the Wax and Wayne series is appearing to be heavily related to Odium in Stormlight.

MY SANDERSON SENSES ARE TINGLING!

I need to read Warbreaker again, it's been ages. Meanwhile I'm panting during the wait over the last Wax and Wayne book.

Hoid isn't the only world hopper, there are dozens of characters, some of which are main characters we know. Vasher brought Nightblood, something happened that caused them to separate, and Vivenna is there now as well looking for them. All of it is brought together by the shattered shards on different worlds and the involvement in that.

That was my guess as well, though admittedly I'm not sure where. Anything else might be a bit obvious lol

I believe it was in Words of Radiance when a character (Shallan?) was interacting with him. Said something about they felt an odd sense of familiarity and trust.

Interesting. I wonder what the logistics are of using the powers from one shard world on another, is it as simple as just gaining the power lets you use it no matter where you are? Wonder how Stormlight might be used on a world where there are no highstorms?

Fuckin' hell I wish Sanderson could write more books at once, lol.

SA is a MASSIVE undertaking, spanning at least 10 books. The first book is definitely gonna have a lot to keep up with, unfortunately.

he's doing Skyward right now, too. It isn't in the Cosmere, but I'll read anything from that man. The concept sounds really interesting, as well.

In Mistborn, aluminim can't be affected by Allomancy, and wearing a hat lined with aluminum makes you immune from emotional Allomancy.

LITERALLY WEARING A FOIL HAT MAKES YOU IMMUNE TO MIND CONTROL. XD

I assumed he took some character names from tricks some writers use to give them ideas. Waxilium and Wayne = wax and wane, Hammond and Breeze = ham and cheese.

Just got to where Vin is learning Allomancy and burns tin for the first time. That little bit sheer she sees stars for the first time, and Kelsier talks about how it used to be anyone could see them... Really cool but of world building just thrown in. I love it.

I've read Mistborn, the trilogy after that, Elantris, and the one with the colors (I think that's Warbreaker).

I keep wanting to read Stormlight, but my library doesn't have the first book.

I don't think I could read all the Mistborn books again. I liked the first book and the ending of the third book, but the middle was such a drag.

But dat ending tho. Literally have never seen a better ending in any work of fiction.

It depends on the power. Hemalurgy is apparently just as easy to use. Get the right kind of metal, push it into the right part of the body with the right intent and it'll work. Regardless of anything. Using other powers like Allomancy, or Surgebinder, is apparently harder on different worlds.

I just got past the Hoid encounter. Was Hoid already a world hopper at this point, or did that start after he became Mistborn?

Im not sure I'd consider this spoilers, but he was already a world hopper. Elantris takes place before Mistborn Era 1.

Yep. He's from Yolen, also all the original Shardholders were from there as well.

Also, one thing that always bothered me - the arrow trick Vin does at the end of the final empire is clever and awesome. How has nobody thought of it before or used it since?

You mean where she put rings of them so people push on them and expect them to stop, but the rings just fly off? If so it's basically used in Era 2.
