Mix the implied father abuse issues with her relatively small/underdeveloped body for someone her age and it is not necessarily impossible. As far as I know it's purely conjectural unless there's something I missed in one of the poems - it'd probably be in that one about her father and being tired.

yeah this one confused me. she has enough access and independence in the kitchen to put together cupcakes for a school group, straight up offers sayori food because she has more than enough in act 1, but come act 2 she's so starved that she needs a protein bar to have enough energy to stay conscious? weird. i just put it down to monika fuckery. making herself look like the "generous hero" that natsuki was during the same scene in act 1.

I'll never understand people into little girl characters/tsunderes. It's incredibly generic and also pretty antagonistic of a character archetype.

It's like someone one day went, "What if I wrote a character who is an asshole transparently trying to use that to cover up how they really feel so they're dumb and pathetic too?" and then everyone else was like, "What if I wrote the exact same character and put it into everything Japanese forever?!?!?"

I have only seen 2 tsundere characters (Asuka and Natsuki) and both of them had valid reasons for acting that way, plus they both make me feel sympathetic for them.

Well I've seen a lot of them.

And it kinda stops being about validity after awhile. Like, "well it makes sense they're like that" doesn't really excuse a character being insufferable/dumb/antagonistic.

A game could be made featuring the disembodied spirit of Hitler, and he could spend the whole game floating alongside you ranting about the jews and that would make sense/be realistic for the character but it'd still be terrible.
