I don't necessarily agree with how they're wording it but I do agree with that sentiment, that it's not worth it to cry over spilled milk. If it's a relationship situation where you were hanging out with her and she's gone now and you're not going to see her for a while, then they're dumb because people in relationships like knowing that their partner is thinking about them.
