I don't see why people have drawn the line. My mind keeps attacks and jokes on a flat surface without walls. The trouble is your method for attacking him wasn't exactly you vs him, it was to create false evidence that rallied the rest of the board to your side and against him. And it didn't feel like a joke when it plays with people's perception like that and makes them actively dislike another person. It's no wonder people feel a little annoyed about that.

Seems like nobody doubts he was a dick either, so you needn't be defensive. Rather than "I'm a good person really, everything is on a scale, you guys just took it too seriously", maybe just go with "yeah ok he was a dick but I did the wrong thing, sorry".

I disagree. One of the ToS terms is something like "I saw someone else get away with it!"

This isn't exactly that, but there's some clause in there about two wrongs not making a right. Telling someone to kill themselves doesn't automatically become a non-violation under the circumstances.

That was not schadenfreude. Schadenfreude isn't fake and constructed. It's genuine.

With all of the fake hate crimes going on, allegedly fake FCC comments, leaders lying---all of this bad behavior going on and you had to go and create a complete fabrication of reality by faking a PM--essentially counterfeiting a post.

I don't know what else to say. That was just not a good thing.
