I'd like to go on the record that I will be supporting Laguna in the finals solely because I've never played FFVII and don't know anything about Cloud. I also don't want to sit this out because I thought of a neat way to format my ten saves, inspired by Leonhart using Haruhi Suzumiya book titles for Locke last year, and I'll be damned if I don't use them. Laguna is a bad character and I will feel bad for saving him.

Also in theory Cloud losing the finals would be good for me on a macro level since I am maining Vincent next year and back to back FF7 winners might be a hard thing to pull off.

We made it a lot farther than most people thought we would. I wont say im not disappointed but this run did reveal a lot to me that I won't be forgetting

Hopefully Minwu can stay relevant in years to come as the representative for a pretty good game that a lot of people pre judge but is actually pretty good especially in the character department.

To Lopen, this is a hell of a lot more than I thought we would accomplish to the point where I dont mind it wasnt Leon anymore. Hopefully we can get together on another project next year.

To everyone else, good contest. Shame it had to end with such a boring lopsided final tomorrow.

i definitely didn't expect Laguna to be the one to merge from the trio but i'm glad he did. probably an underdog here but we got a good opponent for him so great winner either way.

Well I thought that would be closer, but I'm happy to see Laguna in the finals. Really great run by Minwu.

There's been quite a few successful underdog runs this year, and I'm hoping Laguna can be the ultimate one by taking out Cloud in the final.

Up until last round, the contest still had the illusion of equality. Then you get last round with Vanille and Minwu fighting for third place while cloud and Laguna coast to the finals this round.

Im a destination person, not a journey. And the destination is just like every other year now.
