-Wow, leaving NWA...doesn't actually open up anybody I wanna hire. Maybe I should break some working agreements too? But even then, there's so much dang loyalty in this mod I'm not sure it'd make a difference.

WWF All-Star Wrestling
Wk. 1, 2/85

Pre-show: Atlas d. Razor (60)

David Von Erich comes out to talk about losing the NWA Title. He's disappointed, but- All Japan come out. Hansen informs DVE that losers need to get out of his ring! Baba and Tsuruta surround DVE, and no help is on the way. All Japan put a brutal beatdown on the kid! DVE has to be stretchered out. (70) After that somber note, we get Flair/Steamboat! The two big ironmen from the Rumble put on a technical clinic, with the crowd somewhat divided between the two faces. Flair gets the win after a while. (77) Sheik and HBK get in each others' faces. The Rumble only escalated their mini-feud! (46)

Inaugural RIPW Champion JIM POWERS is here! He makes a reasonable debut by beating Ivan Koloff. (59) Snuka and Jones cut another filler promo, this time about the Rumble. (62) Hogan is pretty bummed about his mediocre Rumble performance. La Parka attempts to cheer him through dance. (62) The Funk Brothers beat Tenryu and AKIO of All Japan in a hot Rumble fallout match! (80)

Style and Substance and Heenan are pretty ticked at the world once again. Faces of Fear are SAVAGES who shouldn't even be in a WWF ring! They want a rematch. (59) Lawler gets an upset over Duggan! (80) Money and Power and Death are out to talk. DiBiase came up just a bit short in the Rumble....and it's all Dynamite's fault! DiBiase used to think of Eddie as a friend, but after the Rumble, he knows better! Dynamite Eddie Williams is FIRED! The Williams Brothers exchange looks....and Dr. Death unloades on Dynamite! DiBiase joins in, and the wrestler of the year gets the boots put to him! (64)

Muraco congratulates Jake on retaining over Lawler. Jake appreciates the advice, and finds that he likes getting in people's heads. (84) Your main event sees Tully beat Hogan in a wild brawl. (82) Jesse Ventura comes out, gloats for a bit about winning the Rumble, and summons the champs! As Rumble winner, the Body has the choice of the NWA or WWF Titles to challenge! Ventura knows better than to cross those All Japan guys after what they did to DVE....so he challenges Bruno Sammartino at Wrestlemania III! (89)

Overall: 83 SUCCESS

WWF Thursday Night Raw
Wk. 1, 2/85

Pre-show: Snuka/Jones d. Sika/Edwards (54)

General Manager James J. Dillon calls out Hansen. All Japan is out of control, and the attack on David Von Erich was the last straw! Hansen is about to respond when they are interrupted by Jim Duggan. Duggan actually had an idea! He calls it....SURVIVOR SERIES. Five All Japan guys against five WWF guys in an elimination tag match! If WWF wins, All Japan disbands! Hansen wants to know what happens if All Japan wins, and demands a controlling share of WWF! Dillon is nervous, but shakes on it. (80) Onwards to in-ring action, as Tully Blanchard puts away Tony Atlas in a solid outing. (82) Butch Reed hasn't been up to much lately, but that's okay because he's the Natural! (27)

Jack Brisco is in action next! He comes out...and gets RUN OVER by a massive bald man! KING KONG BUNDY flattens Brisco and growls at the crowd! (53, Monster rating gets 88) Sheik and Michaels SETTLE IT IN THE RING! Sheik gets the win, but not before Michaels shows some promising tricks. (75) The win doesn't seem to be enough, though, as Sheik continues attacking the rookie! Ricky Steamboat runs out and yells at Sheik to back off. (36) La Parka tries to get Bruno to dance, but the NWA Champ is far too grumpy for that. (46) The Funk Brothers beat Style and Substance, thanks in part to the distraction of Faces of Fear coming out to wave around their tag titles. (76)

Flair and Hogan are backstage. They agree with Duggan and Dillon that All Japan have gone TOO FAR, and hope they can be on Team WWF! (83) But wait, there's a disturbance backstage! We cut away just in time to see Duggan swarmed by All Japan, who seem to have been beating him down for a while now. Duggan's picked up for one last LARIATOOOO, and Tenryu drapes an All Japan flag over him. (65)

Money and Power...EXPLODE! After firing Dynamite last week, DiBiase finds himself at ringside alone for the fallout. The wily vet is able to keep the big man at bay and survive, but the real story is when Steve Williams comes down to ringside. Despite his actions last night, Dynamite seems to hold out hope that his brother has had a change of heart. Steve teases handing Eddie the coal miner's glove....and belts him with it instead! DiBiase gets the win. (79) Steve Williams explains that blood is thicker than water...but cash is thicker than either one! DiBiase says there are only two things inevitable in this world....DEATH, AND TAXES. Looks like that's their new team's name. (67) We also get Jake and Muraco against Lawler and Ventura. Still riding high off his Rumble win, Ventura is able to sneak away with a win here! (81)

Overall: 81 SUCCESS

We wish "Dynamite" Eddie Williams (formerly the Masked Superstar) and Jim Duggan all the best in their future endeavors, except the ones that involve AWA.

Pre-show: Bundy d. Garea (60)

James J. Dillon comes out to announce that Duggan is not going to be able to compete in the forseeable future, and therefore WWF needs a new team captain for Survivor Series. Hogan and Flair both come out to campain for the spot, but Flair has been here longer and accomplished more, so Dillon gives him the nod. Hogan doesn't seem thrilled. (72)

Bruno and Tully are back on a team again, as they prevail over Snuka and Jones. (81) Jim Powers is about to talk when he's jumped by Afa! Afa says this is HIS YARD and he won't be upstaged by some RIPW kid. (32) Tony Atlas is amused by La Parka's dancing. UH HUH HUH HUH (39) The newly christened Death and Taxes seem like just as strong a unit as Money and Power, as DiBiase and Williams roll through the Harts. That said, DiBiase lands funny on his shoulder during a hope spot. (58)

We have a contract signing for a tag title rematch between SnS and FoF! True to tradition, Style and Substance sucker punch the champs before the ink dries, leaving FoF a bit bloodied. (46) Hansen, Baba, and Tsuruta defeat Brisco and Future Perfect. All Japan seem ready for Survivor Series! (69) Butch Reed asks Flair for a spot on Team WWF. Flair will think about it. (52)

Terry Funk battles it out with the Iron Sheik! It's a tough brawl, but Shawn Michaels comes out to ringside. Sheik is distracted, and that's all the opportunity Funk needs to take the win. (78) Steamboat comes out afterwards- he and Michaels suggest that Sheik needs to get his own act together before worrying about rookies! (43)

Lawler and Ventura ham up their entrance, talking about how great they are and how bad Ventura's gonna beat Bruno! (80) They make a good start of it by beating Jake and Muraco. (80) Ventura calls out Bruno afterwards. Ventura likes this whole Survivor Series gimmick. Maybe he and Bruno could put together their own teams! The winning team gets to pick the stip for their Wrestlemania match! (64)

Overall: 78 MIXED (that's what happens when you try to run Puerto Rico >_>)
