WWF Thursday Night Raw
Wk. 2, 2/85

Pre-show: Future Perfect d. Onita/Patterson (51)

The Funk Brothers beat Baba and Tsuruta in a solid opener. (74) Flair comes out after the match. He has been impressed with the Funks, and asks them to join TEAM WWF. We have our first recruits! (84, Flair's Nature Boy gets an initial 92) Jules Strongbow comes out, only to get flattened by King Kong Bundy! Bundy grabs a mic, yells "JAKE ROBERTS," and leaves. (32)

Iron Sheik faces off with La Parka. Sheik is particularly disrespectful to the luchador, spitting at him and pulling at the mask. Unfortunately, Parka is not quite able to turn his arrogance into a win. (64) Steamboat and Michaels are backstage. Steamboat expresses disappointment that Sheik thinks he's so far above the next generation. (50, Steamboat's Hero gets an initial 100) Fuji finds Bruno backstage, and says that Tully wanted to see him in the ring after the main event. Bruno seems confused. (53)

Hogan beats Razor. (69) Style and Substance brag about busting up Faces of Fear last night! (56, Schultz's Tough Guy gets an initial 83) Atlas beats Afa. (63) Faces of Fear question who the "savages" are after SnS's sneak attack. They'll get theirs. (64)

Jake successfully defends the IC Title over former champ Ivan Koloff. (74) Snuka and Jones come out. They're tired of being irrelevant, and want Death and Taxes next week! D&T are happy to oblige. (59) Flair teams up with Team WWF hopeful Butch Reed against Hansen and Tenryu in the main event. The Natural is clearly a weak link, and takes the pin. (80) Tully calls Bruno out to the ring to discuss the NWA Title Survivor Series match. They used to be friends, so Tully would like to....kick Bruno's head in! Looks like this was all a setup, as Ventura and Lawler come in from the wings to put a 3-on-1 beating on the champ! He doesn't deserve that...and apparently Don Muraco agrees, as he comes out to make the save! Bruno's pretty grumpy, but the Rac managed to prevent any serious damage. (70)

WWF All-Star Wrestling
Wk. 3, 2/85

Pre-show: Atlas d. Saito (60)

Bruno and Muraco are in the ring to start. Bruno offers Muraco a spot on his team, since SOME people would rather stab him in the back. Muraco doesn't really trust Bruno, but he's gone a few rounds with those guys already, and wouldn't mind keeping it going. Ventura and Tully come out to mock them, Tully explaining that he'd rather be on the team with a chance of winning. (92) We follow that with Steamboat beating Razor. (70) Meanwhile, Sheik is antagonizing La Parka backstage after last week...until Michaels shows up and kicks him in the face! (36)

Future Perfect bump into Baba and Tsuruta backstage. FP would like to be on Team WWF and run their old rivals out of here once and for all. Baba and Tsuruta are just glad they're still relevant, unlike other former tag champs in the room. #TBT to before Hennig (in addition to causing a censor flag) got on my nerves. (58) Afa Reigns faces Jim Powers in a bit of a grudge match...that becomes a lot of a grudge match as they spill to the outside and brawl up the ramp, earning a double countout. (45)

SnS are out here again to brag about beating up FoF...but FoF hop in from the crowd and attack! Both Martel and Schultz are busted open by shots from the tag belts. (52) Bruno has one more surprise up his sleeve tonight- his next partner is somebody making his WWF debut RIGHT NOW! Out to face Sika comes...."CRUSHER" JERRY BLACKWELL! (71, Giant gimmick gets 95) He's a big boy, and he earns the unusual accomplishment of beating Sika with power. (57) Jerry Lawler shows up, trying to entice him to switch sides. The King gets a big slam and a big splash for his efforts. (70)

Death and Taxes face Snuka and Jones, as requested. However, DiBiase and Williams are able to roll out a bevy of heel tactics to pick up a cheap win! (85) Jake Roberts isn't scared of King Kong Bundy. Maybe he'll put the IC Title up against him. Sounds fun. (62) We get a mini preview of Survivor Series for our main event! Team WWF so far (Flair and the Funks) show promising chemistry against the All Japan combination of Hansen, Baba, and Tsuruta. It's quite a brawl, and eventually Hansen gets tired of it. The two tag teams are brawling on the outside, and Hansen blasts Flair with a chair! That's a DQ. (85) The B-team of All Japan comes out from the back, and it looks like we're in for a good ol' beatdown on Team WWF! Hogan comes out! He saves Team WWF, because he would never turn on his fed when it was being invaded. All Japan get a long line of Big Boots, capped with a LEG DROP on Hansen. Hogan grabs a mic and asks Flair for a spot. There's a bit of tension between them (Hogan wanted Flair's captaincy) but Flair shakes the man's hand. (91)

WWF Thursday Night Raw
Wk. 3, 2/85

Pre-show: Baba/Tsuruta d. Powers/Garea (60)

Butch Reed is coming out to kick us off, but things go from bad to worse when he is laid out by King Kong Bundy! Bundy is about to demolish the Natural when Jake Roberts comes in for the save! Looks like he might be accepting Bundy's challenge! (48) Ventura's SurSer team is looking good- he, Lawler, and Tully are able to pick apart Jack Brisco and Future Perfect. (69) Lord David Taylor is demonstrating proper tea party etiquette to us ruffians when Sika rampages through, destroying the setup. (33)

Hogan and Flair are out. With the Funks, Team WWF has four of its five members picked! They start chatting about the fifth when they are interrupted by Luis Edwards. Edwards knows the WWF will always be around, so he wants to join the winning team. Hogan and Flair pause to consider. They had a fifth in mind, but he's a rokie, so sure, Edwards can face him in a try out match. His opponent is...olympian BRAD RHEINGANS! (72, Legit Athlete gimmick gets 92) Edwards reacts with dismay, and Rheingans puts him away in a few minutes. (57)

Mike Rotundo is working out when Razor Ramon shows up to make fun of him. Razor doesn't need to work out because he's already got his "little friends." He's referring to his biceps, but possibly to other non-PG body parts. (40) Faces of Fear are a bit worked up after busting open Style and Substance. They want savagery? They got some! (62) Sheik and Koloff take on Steamboat and Michaels in a quite solid match. Heels go over, but have to resort to a pin because Michaels won't tap. (72) Style and Substance are still selling the beatdown from last night, and are kinda grumpy about it. Heenan brings in a "little dancing monkey" (La Parka) to cheer them up. His clients are not amused. (52)

Atlas bumps into Rheingans backstage. The bodybuilder and the actual wrestler size each other up for a while, and then Atlas breaks into his laugh and welcomes Rheingans to WWF. (61) Muraco and Blackwell team up for the first time against Death and Taxes. Death and Taxes manage to outlast them via cheating, just like last night against Snuka and Jones! (78) Snuka and Jones aren't too happy about that, and come out to slap Death and Taxes around a bit. (63)

The Funks are in the main event against Hansen and Bruno! Hansen and Bruno cannot remotely get on the same page, and this ultimately allows Terry to pin his former stablemate. (80)

WWF Thursday Night Raw
Wk. 4, 2/85

Pre-show: Atlas d. Razor (62)

Hansen, Flair, Ventura, and Bruno each come out in turn to talk about how decisively their SurSer teams are gonna win. A tag match with the four captains is set for tomorrow night. (84) Sheik and Koloff are in tag action again, this time against Future Perfect. The heels win clean, actually. (75) We might have a beatdown on our hands, but Steamboat and Michaels are out with mics. Steamboat is tired of angry old-timers bullying the next generation. He wants Sheik at Survivor Series! (60)

Powers beats Sika (52) but suffers a runin from Afa Reigns, who ignores his old partner. (37)
La Parka dances his way down the ramp, but gets flattened by Bundy! Jake Roberts comes out of the crowd immediately, smacks Bundy with the IC Title, and DDTs him onto the belt! (53) Brad Rheingans looks impressive in a very-mat based victory over Genichiro Tenryu- however, nobody cares. (67)

Faces of Fear call out Style and Substance. They've both made their points, and they both can bleed. Why not make the tag title match First Blood? [assuming they'll let me run that matchtype] (58) Bruno is backstage with Muraco and Blackwell. Questions are raised as to Bruno's trustworthiness, as he is still a heel leading a team of faces. TENSION. (71) Perhaps with those issues as a distraction, Blackwell is not able to beat Tully Blanchard. (75) AKIO is hyping up All Japan, but Hogan wants to know what they're gonna do when the 24-inch pythons run wild on them. (56)

Death and Taxes come out to announce that they're the final two members of Team Ventura! That's a coincidence, because Jones and Snuka have also joined Team Bruno! (73) Our main event has those two teams against the Funks and Baba/Tsuruta in four-way elimination action. Snuka puts away Baba, but is immediately beset upon by Death and Taxes, taking a loss soon afterwards. Dory pins Williams to win it for the Funks. (82)

WWF All-Star Wrestling
Wk. 4, 2/85

Pre-show: Dory/Atlas d. Baba/Tsuruta (78)

Bundy wanted Jake, and now he's got it! Jake calls out Bundy for a staredown, refusing to back down from the bigger man and accepting his challenge for Sunday. (62) Terry Funk takes out Razor Ramon in a quality warmup match. (80) Steamboat is bickering with Sheik and Koloff backstage. Things look like they're gonna come to blows...and they do, when Michaels superkicks Koloff out of nowhere! (57) Ted Dibiase is on a CELLULAR TELEPHONE CALL with somebody. He's glad they've seen sense. Williams notices the camera and shoos them away. (78)

We get a preview of WWF v. All Japan when Rheingans and Hogan team up in a victory over AKIO and Tenryu. (65) Jim Powers wants to settle things with Afa Reigns this Sunday! (47) Jones and Snuka are having a strategy meeting before the next match. Jones tells Snuka to take care of business tonight, and they'll both take care of business this Sunday. La Parka bursts in for a dance break, but they walk out on him. (54) Snuka proceeds to beat Sika. (70) Style and Substance (mostly Martel) have some fashion tips for Faces of Fear! Rhinestone belts to hold up their pants once the tag titles are gone, shirts for those unseemly barbaric torsos, and red to go with the blood they're gonna lose this Sunday. (50)

Ventura approaches Flair backstage about tonight's main event. Hansen isn't the most popular guy backstage, but Ventura knows what he's getting with his partner. Can Flair say the same about Bruno? Even Bruno's own SurSer team doesn't really trust him! (92) Speaking of Bruno's own team, Muraco and Blackwell lose to Lawler and Tully. (81) That's just a taste of what's gonna happen this Sunday! (92) Another taste is the main event, where the captains are in tag team action. It seems Ventura got in Flair's head a bit, as the Flair/Bruno pairing never quite seems to gel. Ventura and Hansen are able to stay out of each other's way, and that's good enough for Hansen to go over. (75)

WWF Presents Survivor Series
Sunday, Week 4, February 1985

Pre-show: Future Perfect d. Razor/Sika (75)

Muraco is first out for his Survivor Series team. Team Ventura jump him on the ramp, but Bruno comes out for the save! Maybe he's on the up and up after all. (67; Bruno's face turn was a complete success) We eventually get everybody into some sense of order in the ring for our opening Survivor Series match. (Bruno/Muraco/Blackwell/Snuka/Jones v. Ventura/Lawler/Tully/Death and Taxes for the right to choose the stip for Bruno/Ventura at Mania) After plenty of wild brawling, Bruno gets the first fall on Williams. Muraco gets in trouble against DiBiase later on. Snuka and Jones disappear under the ring for a moment, and come back with metal cases....and bash Bruno and Blackwell with them! Snuka and Jones contemplate their own actions for a bit, and then leave...and Muraco has nobody to tag, allowing a smirking DiBiase to finish him off! The faces are left down 2 to 4, with Blackwell going down soon after. Bruno manages to get a rollup on Tully, but can't make the miracle happen. Team Ventura wins, with Ventura, Lawler, and DiBiase all surviving! (76, Snuka/Jones heel turns complete successes) You punks probably want to know what is up with Snuka and Jones, or what Ventura's gonna pick for his stip. Well, too bad, losers, you'll have to wait until next week! (92)

Jim Powers managed to get on the card! He beats Afa Reigns. (56) Tony Atlas is full of pride in the WWF and America, and is confident that tonight will be the end of All Japan. (45) Jake and Bundy have themselves a staredown. They also attempt a battle of wits, but Bundy is clearly unarmed. (58) Bundy is a strong challenger, but Jake is able to retain the IC Title after Bundy whiffs a tackle into the corner post. (71)

Sheik is fighting Steamboat tonight, and brought backup in the form of Koloff! Steamboat responds by bringing out Michaels. (53) Steamboat and Sheik put on a nice little clinic in the ring. Koloff sucker punches Michaels on the outside! Koloff threatens to break Michaels' ankle with a chair, and Steamboat taps to a Boston Crab to stop him. (78) Team WWF is having a strategy session, but La Parka shows up to dance...and this time he brought cheerleaders with him, decked in WWF merch! (86) Faces of Fear retain over Style and Substance when Meng bashes Martel off the turnbuckle repeatedly to bust him open. (71) Martel FREAKS OUT over the wound to his face (he's a model!) while Schultz and Heenan try to console him. (56)

#201:

It's time to decide the fate of WWF and its greatest stable. If Flair, Hogan, Rheingans, and the Funks win, All Japan must disband! But if Hansen, Baba, Tsuruta, Tenryu, and AKIO win, they gain control of WWF! This one erupts even faster than the other 5v5. AKIO and Dory fall pretty quickly, followed by Baba after Dory gets vengeance with a chair. Hogan takes out Tsuruta, but Hansen goes on a rampage and eliminates Hogan and Terry! Down to Flair and Rheingans vs. Hansen and Tenryu. Rheingans plays face in peril, Flair gets the hot tag, and Tenryu is tapping to the Figure Four moments later. Flair takes a LARIATO~! Rheingans cuts in for the save, but Hansen eventually gets the upper hand and ejects the Olympian. ...But this lets Flair recover enough for a chop block! Flair stays on him, and gets on the Figure Four! Hansen reverses it a couple of times....but eventually has to tap out! All Japan is over! (78) JJ Dillon raises Flair and Rheingans' hands, and tells Hansen to say goodbye to his posse! (84)

The fun isn't over yet though, as we have to crown the SOLE SURVIVOR. Flair and Rheingans stay in the ring to face Ventura, DiBiase, and Lawler. Rheingans is selling that toss to the outside, but still manages to catch DiBiase for a surprise elimination before going out to Ventura. Flair heroically beats the odds~ by taking out Lawler and Ventura in succession! (87) WOOOOO (100)

Overall: 87 SUCCESS
