And an actual pardon makes it easier to get him to testify if they put him under oath.

Rasmussen's had Donald drop 16% since his Inaugeration too, from 56% to 40% -- over a percent a month.

There may be a bottom to this barrel, but Donald hasn't proven he's hit it yet. I don't know what impact Net Neutrality's vote or his accusers unified will do to him next...and then there's Russia and this tax bill too, whatever they do.

$1400. It's a phase-in, so it won't hit $2000 for years. And you have to make a certain amount per year to actually get that $2000. It's designed to help richer families more.

So, basically, the average person will only see a very small increase over the next few years.

EDIT: To explain it more easily, what it means is that you get up to $1400 back, but it's based on income at 15 cents on the dollar.

Are you positive because what I read is that low income filers can be refunded $1400 under what would be $0 owed in taxes, but it goes up to $2000 if not in that scenario.

To play devil's advocate, Hillary Clinton is a professional politician. (Career? Veteran? Dedicated?) "Has experience, so makes fewer mistakes" is supposed to be one of her strengths. Saying something that the right-wing media can run away with is one of the mistakes she's not supposed to make. Trump, on the other hand, is an entertainer, and touts inexperience with politics as an asset. So it's not unbelievable that he is held to a substantially lower standard.

Where I got confused is that its offset by a loss of other deductions, so its not as clean as to say whether youll actually get more money or not. It depends entirely on your personal situation.

That is $8000 in tax credit. Plus the $18000 standard deduction. (assuming you can get it for all 4).

If she earned 7250 a year she owes 0 in taxes as she is at 0 - the 18000 standard deduction.

She would get 1400x4 = 5600 refunded to her under the refundability portion of the child tax credit that Rubio fought for.

If she earned 69800k a year. She owes 5944 in taxes after the standard deduction.

5944-8000 in tax credits. She would get refunded $3056 after paying 0 in taxes.

If she made $100,500, she owes 82,500 after the standard deduction.

12,698 she is on the hook for in taxes. - $8000 in child tax credit. She owes 4,698 in taxes for the year. Paying an effective rate of about 4.5% on the year.

If she made 80,500, she owes 62,500 after standard deduction.

8,298 in taxes is owed. - 8000 in tax credits. She owes $298 a year. Paying an effectively rounded to 0% rate for taxes on the year.

The Child Tax Credit now was $0 refundable. It was governed by the Additional Child Tax Credit. This new one is supposed to be $1400 refundable. Thus, I am not sure if something limits it on the bottom end like the Additional Child Tax Credit does or not.
