Current Events > Riddle: Where is the key to the princess' tower?

The King lives in a castle with 3 towers. A tall middle tower and two smaller towers to the left and right that are equal to each other in size. The princess is the most beautiful girl in all the land and every able-bodied man wants her hand. The King knows this and is deeply concerned for her purity, so he locks her in his castle's middle tower.

He then takes the key, leaves the castle and travels the east road to the lake. He throws the key in the bottom of the lake. Then to ensure he is not being followed, he walks around the lake and takes a different road home, slightly further south, heading back westward.

Now ever hero wants to find the key so they can rescue the princess?

Is this like a visual thing? If you trace out his steps on a piece of paper, then the path he takes is in the shape of a key, the castle being the end part that unlocks the tumblers of a lock.

Supposedly how it works is that if you drew visually with the 3 towers and the path the King takes to go to the lake and back, it's suppose to be a form of a key. I only knew because they did this kind of stuff when I used to be in the boy scouts. I was unimpressed with it though.

I think that's frustrating that part of the riddle said it's in the bottom of the lake. If riddles can contain lies then it kind of defeats the purpose of a riddle.

Some certainly can be. But many seem to ignore many correct answers for the one answer someone decided was the right one and just makes it ultimately a guessing game to guess what the creator was thinking rather than challenge your mind sadly.
