Everything you dislike about TP can be said double for SS and even the DS games.

Except no. SS had some filler and limited exploration, but the other problems I described aren't really present. The linearity does kind of go against expectations for Zelda games, but I kind of like it in a way. Or, at least, I appreciate that there isn't this pretense of freedom like TP, which is constantly limiting you. It's better if you just think of it as three overworlds that each have their fair share of exploration to do, rather than one overworld split into three disconnected pieces. That being said, I think they at least could have included a couple "shortcuts" that link the different overworlds together. They didn't even need to fill out the whole map area between them, just anything to make it feel like a continuous land mass.

As for the DS games, don't really care to go into detail since I've only played them once each and don't even like them much anyway

I don't really think it's fair to judge a game based on what it takes to 100% though. Only people who are insane do that

This is a favorite/least favorite topic though and I always play games to 100%, so it makes sense to me.

And good point about BotW, I've heard about the korok seeds, but I still think I'll really enjoy it despite that. I've also heard there's now a mask that helps with the seeds.

Favorite: A Link to the Past

Least favorite: The DS titles. I can't believe they pulled that touch screen bullshit rather than giving the option to use the D-pad. I can't and won't play them because of it, and don't see how anyone did.

I dont get people who actively dislike or consider twilight princess a bad game.

There is nothing wrong with the game. Not like WW which the devs have admitted wasnt a finished game, or loz2 in nes which was just bad in general.

Don't really dislike it, the probably my least favorite. That being said, it is asking us OUR favorite and least favorite. Some people have different taste.

Also, people hate on the Temple of the Ocean King a lot, but when the whole thing is open, going for max time at the end is actually really fun and was my favorite part of the whole thing. The worst part of Phantom Hourglass is actually getting every ship part, which sucks.

Yeah, the Temple also wound up being one of my favorite parts of the game. Granted, *part* of that was collecting ship parts

Honestly, the touch controls weren't bad at all once you got used to them. The bigger issue is having to move around in the boat and train, especially since you wind up having to waste time with battles, etc. Granted, the biggest thing I preferred on ST over PHg was that the train was incorporated into a major boss battle. The ship you spend so much time gathering parts for but the payout is weaker.

Honesty can't say I've played a bad zelda game. I thought every one I played was decent

Favorite goes to Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time is right behind it. Both are amazing
Least favorite is Minish Cap

Same, minish cap is my least favorite of the ones I've played, and Majora and OoT are my 1 and 2.

I love the GBC Zeldas, like Link's Awakening DX and the Oracle games, too.

Yeah, I didn't like Minish that much because it was too linear and had a lot of content between dungeons. Granted, on a first playthrough it's not terrible, but it's just annoying filler on replays. Plus the game didn't have enough dungeons. If a Zelda game has fewer than 10 main dungeons, I kinda get annoyed since I like the old LttP formula of 3 trial dungeons followed by 7 dungeons to unlock the boss's palace.

Have anyone here played any of the multiplayer Zeldas?
Four Swords Adventures is one of my favourite games on the Gamecube.
Such an underappreciated gem.
Didn't really care for the first Four Swords game on the GBA(and the Anniversary edition on 3DS), but that's probably because I was spoiled from playing the superior GC version first though.
I have bought Triforce Heroes but I have yet to start play it because the friends I used to play the GC game with are currently not available : (
I refuse to play that game alone.

Couldn't really find anybody local for stuff like Four Swords and wasn't interested in grouping for Triforce Heroes and, because solo is so annoying, decided to not get that one. Which kinda sucks because I liked the concept of repeatable dungeons with loot from boss fights (Wound up being big into Final Fantasy Explorers, which I also just solo'd and was able to do everything except the final lv10 mission (against the heavily boosted Theria)
