He can, but it takes a superalcohol that Caitlin made specially for him and only lasts like 5 seconds. I'm not watching the episode right now, so I dunno if something happened there.

So I think it's safe to say this episode was straight up filler

That was horrible.

There is no logical reason for the powerless/fighting powerless people to go after bad guys like that. Then to top it off , they let the skinny guy just walk away. This dude is a fucking trauma victim you make a effort to go after someone like that for like a million reasons.

I don't think it was worse, but it's definitely stupider. That gun control episode was just an hour of cringe. This was kinda an intentionally funny episode (it's on the much lighter in tone Flash) but the stuff in it just made no logical sense.

It was worse. The Gun Control episode was dumb just to push a point. But they kind of stay within the logic the show. This episode did not. Iris, Joe's girlfriend, and Felicity. Try to stop a gang with a superpowered leader.

Edited to add: The girls were at a fancy restaurant, and a goon comes up to try to get Kaitlin. And Felicity assumes he is stripper and starts asking him to take it off. This was a typical CW goon, dirty and mean looking and she is asking this person to strip in public.

Ah, okay. I gotcha.

And cringe was the word I was looking for regarding that episode of Arrow, but for some reason "cheesy" popped into my head instead.

The only good part was drunk Barry. The women literally let a victim and the baddie get away lmao

so they didnt even try to make up a reason for the girls having to handle the situation themselves intead of calling for help?

The guys went to a strip club and had to check their phones, then the elongated-man started a fight and somehow they all got arrested because of it. Even Joe was attack for trying to stop it.

But beyond that the police have a task force to handle metas. And they would have had a better change then two people who run operations and the 40 yr old lawyer who is with child.

like did they have a scene with her convincing them they should handle it themselves?

Killer Frost wasn't going to help them. So they had to do it by themselves. Then she came in at the end to save them. But the plan was for them to do without her.
