Browsing Instagram, there's so many talented artists from around the world that I see. It is concurrently amazing and depressing when you see 18 year olds already doing great drawings like this:



And I can't even do that today.

All the time. Whenever my mom posts anything she gets a dozen likes within an hour. Whenever I post anything I'm lucky if anyone even acknowledges my existence.

I have that problem with Facebook. I once went to the museum and took photos of an exhibit and posted them on Facebook, practically got 0 likes or comments. Another person on my friend list, who has about 50 mutual friends, went to the same exhibit and took almost the same pictures I did and got dozens of likes and comments.

Maybe it has to do with the specific instructors, but it's incredible that an 18 year old could already reach that level of volume and form in drawing.
