I don't think Odyssey is a 10/10 game but it's really fun so far. And it definitely has shades of Banjo in it.

It's a good game for sure but it's not up there with breath of the wild.

I'm enjoying it so far, but its one of those games I can only play for like a half hour or an hour at a time, it can be boring if you play too much in one sitting. The only other Mario I've played though is 64, so idk how it compares to the others

Some of these arguments are subjective as fuck.
Lacks "creativity", worlds are "uninteresting", music is "bad"? Were you expecting this game to blow your mind in every way imaginable? Because truth of the matter is, 64 did all that a while ago and therefore your expectations are hampered as a result. Ive played the first world of odyssey and its very fun but not goty. Not even top 3.
