You probably wont be able to relate to the average person, but you'll be super close to any weebs. Also, a lot of (cute/hot) girls watch anime, so youre way more likely to have friends that are girls in your circles. Video games are like the medium between the two. They're not quite as niche/polarizing as anime but they aren't as hugely mainstream as sports.
