It's been a troll orgy for years.

IMDb never had any implementations to moderate their forums. You could create an account and spam endless topics about how black people are subhuman for 10 days straight before you'd finally get banned and then you could just make another account and do the same for ten days straight. Not even any IP address tracking system to weed out the few trolls who couldn't be bothered learning how a VPN works.

You know, yesterday, I watched a throwaway Stallone film called Cobra. I couldn't remember how long it had been since I'd seen the film, so I thought I'd go over to IMDb and check the message board to see if there was a post from 8 to 10 years ago from me.

But, oh wait, they got rid of the message boards. :/

IMDB message boards were a great place to get obscure film recommendations

I hardly watch anything anymore
