Gamer99z 09/07/17 12:05:46 AM #7:	Well considering the multiple hints and nods to the native american genocide I'd argue probably not. And in the book Danny uses the shining the basically call him to get help when shit starts hitting the fan, I don't remember if it's the same in the movie since it's been awhile since I've seen it but I assume it is. I don't think the movie is racist just because the sole black character died. The characters in the movie -- at least the ones who aren't limited to one scene -- could be counted on one hand. He did have another guy he talked to who was black, and maybe they could have increased that guy's screen time, but what would have been the point? Oh, now the movie isn't racist because the black guy on the other end of the radio gets TWO scenes and lives. When a movie has several white characters, and one black character, there's room to complain about the sole black character getting killed.
