Stephen King is a little bit racist, but I don't think The Shining is an example of that.

He likes having black characters speak in an extremely stereotypical way.

When I say racist, I mean the tiniest, littlest amount of racist.

Stereotyping is more just a matter of lazy character writing than racism. I mean if you watched a movie and there was some uptight white businessman would you think that's a little racist for stereotyping a type of white dude like that?
