From day one, this guy has been getting protested against and such, and as time drags on he loses more and more supporters, and leaders all around the world think he is an unfit, crying man child. You'd be hard pressed to find any positive news about this guy and he faces the very real threat of impeachment with one or two more bad moves.

Seems like everything Trump does just backfires against him and the only supporters left are pretty much white nationalists/supremacists

I'm honestly not sure. I keep thinking it will get better and settle, but with how Trump is afraid to stand up to Nazis and other fascists, and how he keep floating ideas that would remove most of the checks on him, it's ominous. I studied history in university for like five years, and shit like this usually was followed by some real dark times. I hope it's not going to be like that again.

Well there's the one who died after a month in office (William Henry Harrison) and there was another who promoted one side to get elected and then switched when he got elected (forget his name).

Tyler, who replaced Harrison when he died was also pretty pretty terrible and alienated everybody

In terms of infighting among his own party when they control all aspects of government? It's been quite some time. I mean, all presidents get into spats with other members of government on the same time, but you probably have to go back to like the days of them potentially getting primaried by their own parties, which Trump is likely to face come 2020. So like LBJ or even Truman.

In terms of quality of president, Bush is still imo the worst ever. Nixon had the biggest scandals, and Jackson and Trump are in the middle.

George W won't go down as the worst president. He basically did everything other conservatives push other than the "war on terror" and any president would've done the same since Republicans and Democrats at the time wre basically the same parties.

Nixon was complicit in war crimes and defrauding the public. Jackson was literally a terrorist and an evil person.

Trump pretends to be Andrew Jackson so neither of them are anywhere near the middle. They're 2 of the 3 worst ever

I don't think Trump has done too much to greatly alter the course of our country so I hesitate to call him a disaster. He has done some things pretty poorly (the rollout of the 'muslim ban' was a shitshow at least as bad as Obamacare website stuff, for instance) and other things I disagree with but are hard to call national disasters (like changing ICE regs with respect to when/how to handle raids)

Jeff Sessions changes at DOJ have almost unilaterally been both bad and anti-libertarian -- compelling prosecutors to always seek the harshest sentence possible, defending civil asset forfeiture, etc

Probably Hoover. A man elected at the start of a financial crisis elected because he was a businessman and not a politician. Caring about "messaging" is useless. You'll be doomed to be swayed by the media in this respect as they will constantly try to put his policies in the worst possible light in order to make his m"messaging" look bad.

Case-in-point: Obama enacted a similar travel ban in 2013. No one cared. But when Trump does the same thing to countries that Obama specifically outlined as being hotbeds for terrorism, suddenly the "messaging" was bad. Get real.
