The image that comes to mind is a bowling ball smashing through something made of toothpicks.

I'm not sure a giraffe can really do anything to a full grown elephant? But with 25, I imagine enough kicks to the legs would eventually get the elephant to collapse.

Going to assume African giraffes and elephants here

1 elephant:
~4 m tall
8000-15,000 lbs

Giraffes:
4-6 m tall
2000-35,000 lbs each (50,000-87,500 combined)
Kick: 2000 psi

Now one giraffe obviously can't do a whole lot, but assuming the giraffes can surround the elephant and attack from all sides, I give the slight edge to giraffes

Elephants vary wildly in size though, so it's hard to say. If it's a small elephant, giraffes win easy. Large elephant is harder to say.

giraffes are stronger than I thought at first, but probably still going with the 4-7.5 ton tank that can casually fell trees and flip cars.

Wow people are dumb

It's twenty-five giraffes

A few lions can take down an elephant. They're not this indestructible tank that people seem to think they are.

This isn't even close to the level of Wolves beating Tigers. That one is actually debatable. This one is not.

I dont know much about giraffes, so I wouldnt know how any number of them kills an elephant. maybe one of you animal experts up there should shed some light on it.

Aren't elephants more aggressive though? And I imagine 25 Giraffes even mobbing it wouldn't be very effective due to the confusion.

Yeah, I kind of figured the elephant would charge them before they even got close, probably wounding/killing at least a few of them.

how well do giraffes cooperate, anyway? couldnt find any information on that.

for reference, a giraffe can literally decapitate a lion with a single kick

The elephant gets an advantage if it has room to charge them, and if the giraffes are grouped together at the other end of the charge, but that seems less likely than the giraffes surrounding the elephant

Lion literally goes straight for the throat and the giraffe is just like "lol no u"

Obviously, elephants are bigger than lions

But 25 giraffes all kicking at the same elephant. Giraffes can kick in any direction. With 2000 psi kicks. And their hooves are sharp.

I think people seem to have this idea that elephants have an indestructible hide or something.

Oh well, one elephant will actually make for more interesting questions in the future rather than having to try to come up with something more absurd than 25 giraffes.

Lions can take down an elephant because they can get on its back, and even then, Google says it takes at least seven Lionesses or 2 full grown males to take one down.

The elephant destroys the giraffes easy, how are they going to coordinate their lanky ass kicks and not hit each other?

Elephants can knock down trees, and a charging elephant that weighs up to five times a giraffe would blow through them like bowling pins.

Edit: Looking at more footage, Giraffes are shockingly tall. But it seems they do a lot of fighting by swinging their heads too? That seems like it wouldn't do shit to an elephant.

I think it'd be close. If the Giraffes swarm, I think they lose.

If they space themselves out so they can kick, they might take it.

Depends on the level of bloodlust. If this is just a bunch of docile giraffes in the nature and the wolves are hunting them for food, I think they pick them off one by one yeah. If you trigger something in their brain to make these things fight to the death, maybe the giraffes pull it out by sheer numbers though yeah. But I think they have an easier time against the elephant.

I'm still reading these as "combatants are put on opposite sides of an arena and are both attempting to fight the other"
