Like I want to just go do 50 push-ups and sit-ups and some squats but can't even get the motivation to do something as simple as that

Find some good workout music.

Find something to aspire to. Half of my inspiration comes from watching so many action and martial arts shows as a kid.

But really, you just got to do it. No amount of mental tricks matter if you dont shut up and start.

I think my biggest problem is I'll go for like two weeks working out every day and hardly see anything so I get discouraged even though I'm perfectly aware it takes longer than that.

The hardest part isn't even starting. It's being consistent

You wanna reach a point where if you miss a day or two of the gym , you start to feel guilty about yourself. That's the feeling you wanna get to.

Usually it happens when you run out of excuses.
The trick is holding yourself accountable to your goals.

Thats why they say make it short, reasonable, and achievable. In this way, you give yourself milestones and consistently push yourself to the next challenge as you do them.

Well I think the mindset you need to have is remember how crappy you feel when you don't work out, and keep going so you don't go back to where you were before you started working out. Eventually after you start getting into a routine and feeling a lot better then you will start to feel guilty for not going

karate kid if thats your thing.
bloodsport, kickboxer and best of the best are also good.
and once you have a bit of momentum then you can work in pumping iron

Change your diet instead of exercise: It's ten times more efficient than exercise.

I find it very hard to exercise at home. Going to a place specifically to work out has always helped my motivation.
