Apparently there was pokemon news i was unaware of and that b8 mostly ignored as far as i could tell.

I thought people were just coloring midday Lycanroc orangeish for some reason

Is Lycanroc special in-story or something? why are they giving it so much attention?

It's a stupid excuse of a forme. The anime shot that I saw of it was cool, but that's about it.

I wonder if there'll also be a Dawn Forme.

Heh, I just checked out Serebii and saw this image:

It would be interesting to see if it has different stats compared to the regular Midday form, or access to moves that the other forms don't have.

Its said to not be obtained by normal means... Which is usually dumb.

It's BARELY a hybrid, like 90% Midday and 10% Midnight

I think the reason it looks more like midday is because it's still on four legs. If it was on two legs, I think people would be saying it looks more like midnight. They basically added every characteristic of midnight that they could without putting it on two legs. >_>

Also, it's been confirmed that Ash's Rockruff will evolve into this new Dusk Form.

It literally only has Midnight's reverse mane. The tail, the paws, the neck tuft and the spikes jutting out of it, and of course the quadraped stature... that's all Midday. It really IS barely a hybrid. They could've gave it a lot more Midnight.

Like, here's how I'd design Dusk:

Keep it on four legs, but make the front paws bigger and spread out the digits a bit

Shorten the tail

Nix like half the neck fur but keep half the neck spikes

Add one rock "rib" on either side of its chest

Boom. A perfect hybrid that doesn't just look like a recolor with one new detail slapped on.

Doubt it.

CoroCoro says they're giving an event Rockruff away in November, and that Dusk Lycanroc gets both Accelerock/Counter, and will have Tough Claws as an ability (which means Accelerock will be 80 BP after STAB).

I'm retracting my Dawn forme prediction after the new info. The fact that they're giving it both of the other formes' exclusive moves shows that they're treating it like a combined version of the two, which will also be better than either of the other two on their own.

But really it's just "Midday forme if it were actually good". I wouldn't be surprised if it has a higher BST than the other two as well.

I suspect Dusk Form could have stats that are midway between Midday and Midnight.

Midday - 75 / 115 / 65 / 55 / 65 / 112
Midnight - 85 / 115 / 75 / 55 / 75 / 82
Dusk - 80 / 115 / 70 / 55 / 70 / 97

I included Midday and Midnight for reference, and put in a prediction for Dusk Form if the stats are midway between Midday and Midnight.

That would still suck since it loses Midday's nice speed, the one thing that it had going for it. I'm thinking, like, add +5 on each of Midday's stats and make it a one-time distribution like Ash-Greninja, and you have a solid (yet competitively usable) anime tie-in.
