Improves upon Goldeneye in literally every way and has better graphics with much more fun, diverse missions with voice actors from the movie and cool gadgets and multiple weapon modes.

Also multiplayer is WAY more in depth and has AI bots.

Yeah Goldeneye gets props for setting the standard for console shooters at the time, but TWINE is an objectively superior video game.

I actually think TWINE is up there with the best console shooters of that generation and is definitely one of the best licensed video games ever.

Perfect Dark is still the GOAT, but TWINE deserves huge props.

Never played that one, it's third person right?

I remember it looking good but for some reason I never got around to it.

World is not enough was hella fun to play. I was blown away that the whole game was voiced too.

While I still like Goldeneye more, TWINE is still a great game too >_>

Everything or Nothing is great. Tons of replayability, fun coop, and the presentation was perfect for a Bond game
It's definitely my favorite one.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, I still LOVE Goldeneye, I just feel like TWINE is everything you could possibly want in a sequel but it's always kinda floated under the radar when games of that era are discussed.

It's one of those games that's totally different on different platforms.

I remember playing the PS1 version and it being fairly 'meh'. Then I played it on the N64 and thought, "Wow, this is much better."

Granted it's been a long time, but I feel like TWINE on N64 mostly ran at 60 FPS too, which is insane considering how good the graphics were.

It also had loading screens, which was weird for a N64 game lol.

But yeah, I heard the PS1 version was hot garbage compared to the N64 version

Me and my best friend played the hell out of TWINE's multiplayer against the bots. I couldn't tell you how much time we put into the game. The single player mode was fun too. I loved just messing around in a lot of the missions while not doing the objectives. Especially the MI6 level. I still like Goldeneye better even though TWINE is superior gameplay wise.

I think I might play it now. Still have my old copy.

I was thinking about this the other day and I agree. Bot multiplayer is a big plus.

Also, Everything or Nothing was fucking awesome. You can tell it was a passion project out of the love for the series from the people that made it.

I disagree. The singleplayer was... Neat? But not as good as Goldeneye's. I'm not going to say it was bad, but Goldeneye's was far more arcadey and fun

I won't argue about multiplayer though. Me and friends played that for hours and hours. I remember it having some weird limitations to it but it was still fun

GE and PD are perfect just for the level of detail they have that most FPS games never achieved, and I'm talking about quantity and quality of lines in voice acting (even after playing PD for a couple years I was still hearing new enemy lines, or at least the same lines but in new voices). And I can't think of any other FPS game that demonstrates bullet hits on targets like those games do. Hit someone in the hand and they shake their hand/arm. Hit them in the ass and they hop a couple feet. It slows the gunplay down a little bit but it feels real.

I remember World is Not Enough being fun as hell. Introduced alternate firing modes and stuff. I remember having trouble with that one stealth mission where you sleep dart guards, but they wake up after a while. Then i realized you could sleep them then punch them and they don't technically "die" but they won't wake up anymore.

While the AI Bots are an amazing feature to have(which PD also has), the multiplayer simply did not flow right in that game. Things happened far too fast. The engine, while good, cannot compare to the engine that was used in Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.

That being said, I did spend a lot of time on Multiplayer in TWINE. It held its own, and was very entertaining. The engine is just a little clunky.

Game was fun, but levels were kinda repetitive and checkpoints were pretty bad.

It was pretty unique though.

I was BEYOND excited for this game. And while the dual wielding of any two guns you can independently shoot is fun as Hell, the missions felt so long and repetitive.

Also I hate how they wimped out on actually killing Bond and had it just be a simulation, and instead of making you a true villain, they have you as a bad guy fighting other bad guys.
