Mets traded Jay Bruce to Cleveland for a nothing prospect (Cleveland pays his whole remaining salary).
Same thing with Reed and Duda at the deadline- dont pay any of their contract and get bad prospects back in return. Again, The CLEVELAND Indians picked up all of the salary in a trade with the NEW YORK Mets.
