What a successful contest. It would have obviously been better had the number one seeds fought, but CN just couldn't make the cut.

Overall, I would generally find myself watching CN as a lad, but NKs and I had some fond memories. This contest didn't take in to account non-original programming like animaniacs and batman which would have definitely changed the outcome, maybe next time.

Classic nick was great.. shows you didn't put on there like Pete and Pete and Alex Mack. Even the lesser known shows like Space Cases and the Animorphs show.

As far as substance goes though, CN gave us DBZ, Adventure time, and regular show.

I'm going CN in the end, but I love early Nick.

I'm a bit biased because I grew up watching Nickelodeon primarily, but I love shows like Doug, Hey Arnold!, Rugrats (seasons 1-3), Rocko, SpongeBob (seasons 1-3).
And I didn't get into it until around the time Legend of Korra came out, but Avatar is fantastic. I can't believe it didn't win this poll.

Having said that, if Adult Swim was included, then Nick at Nite would need to be included as well. Not saying that Fresh Prince and Roseanne would be enough to beat Adult Swim, but I see your point.

If we include nick at night with Gillian's island and Brady bunch and I love Lucy then yeah it's a way closer game. none of those are originals for that channel but I love the classics

Cartoon network and Adult Swim are technically different networks sharing the same channel underneath the same umbrella corporation. It is actually kind of confusing how time warner splits them up.

I think nick has some better shows, but as far as networks go I give the edge to cartoon network. Though I think both of them need to do a reboot to what they are currently doing. Nick doesn't have any major draws besides the same old thing. The loud house is doing ok, but that is just one show.

Cartoon network just needs to fix it's schedule. They have released some very interesting pilots online, but the shows can't live and thrive on a network that plays TTG 79% of the time and Gumball for another 20%. If they could reintroduce a cartoon cartoon fridays kind of block or a what-a-cartoon type segment their quality would increse dramatically.

Disney is actually surprising me though. They went from the hannah montana and zack and cody channel to have several interesting shows.

It could be wrong but I am not making it up. It is one of the excuses I have seen when cartoons more popular with adults than kids get dropped instead of getting moved to adult swim. Supposedly happened for the 2005 nielsen ratings split.

Stuff like adult swim seems to blow up a lot of shows, back when I was around 11 or so teletoon, which was one of the only two cartoon channels had its own sort of adult swim and those shows always seemed to be so popular, sadly they were always already cancelled and tossed on there for cheap tv slots, I would've loved another season of Mission Hill.

That's completely speculative. The AT had blatant rigging near the end whereas Courage and Avatar had been close most of the time.

in my opinion cartoon network still has good shows coming out while over the years nickelodeon just got less and less interesting

i barely tune into that channel now because they focus more on the tween sitcoms than they do their animated lineup which seems to just consist of spongebob and the loud house now
