wasn't really the greatest. my mother and him used to fight (verbally and physically) every other weekend, had to call 911 because he would've shot my mother while she was sleeping. spent more time and money on cigarettes and gin, and wound up in the hospital summer of 2013 terminally ill (while the house him and I lived in went up for sheriffs sale), where he died of esophageal cancer.

and my mom died in 2001 of a heart attack one year after having quadruple bypass surgery

sad and sorry to say this, but both fathers and mothers day really don't mean anything to me

Great, he is my best friend.

Which sounds odd to say considering we only talk about once a month. We both work 60 hours a week though so I guess that is all we can manage.

My dad is great. Has always been there for me and will continue to be there for me. Great guy and great dad.

Kinda surprising at how how good of a dad he is considering where a came from. He's from a bad neighborhood and his dad wasn't there for him. I think my grandma had him at the age of 14 or 15.

My dad basically basically turned him self into something from nothing. He's a smart guy and a caring guy. It's crazy to see how my siblings and I grew up and how he and his sister grew up. Two totally different worlds. So crazy.

I'm surprised my dad turned out as well as he did. His dad was somewhere between Hank and Cotton Hill, and his dad was a violent psychopath that everyone was afraid of, so it seemingly improved with each generation... I don't have kids because I think I'd be terrible at it and am a responsible person.

He always goes out of his way to help me but he's also a short tempered asshole that never stops yelling at everyone when things don't go his way. I hate talking to him because he's always doing all the talking and he almost always talks over me if I try to talk. And also he talks too much about politics (which I don't enjoy talking about with people) and tries to get me to watch all these liberal documentaries he comes across
