Oh I thought that you had said there was a natural development that occurred within their first few years in the league. If not then that is my mistake, I did not mean to mislead anyone, I was just under that impression.

Additionally, I chose a poor choice of words. Under my assumption that they do grow naturally the first few years, what I meant was that he was probably done growing naturally. So that is completely on me, doubly so if I was mistaken in the first place.

From talking to KCF this year, the rookie bump is basically non existent. If your ass isn't playing then you're unlikely to go up in rating, maybe up 1 or something. You have to be playing to go up in rating but a lot of positions naturally rotate some some rookies get limited snaps from rotation to get that little bump.

But you could also literally be a 60 rated UDFA and eventually work your way up to 99 if given the playing time and performance warranted it. Unlikely but possible.

I actually have a rookie this year that has declined in rating from not playing and not like he was a low round scrub. Was a mid-high 3rd iirc

Well, I don't know about any age. Adam Vinatieri dropped 4 ratings points after going a perfect 17 for 17 last season.
