I can understand not agreeing with another person's morality, but it seems that modern liberals start crying the instant you mention religious morality or anything along these same lines.

It's funny though, this godless and immoral western society we live in is slowly going to crap because of the lack of morality. Abortions, feminism, premarital sex, drug abuse, etc.-- all of these reflect the horrible things brought out because of a lack of morality in western society as a whole.

Religious morality is fine, provided it doesn't fly in the face of practicality and cause people to suffer for no reason. If it does, it's time to consider whether or not that bit of the religion is really worth following in today's world.

It's not literally your morality that they're crying over. If it's actual morality it should be trainable and improvable on both sides, so an agreement/compromise can be found. That's fine.

The issue is that religious morality is just code word for "I won't listen to anything you have to say about it ever". And when you have opposing ideas that you will never think about critically, you're nothing but a frustration to talk to.

On top of that, the religious part tends to imply you want to spread it. Making this topic where you call everyone who disagrees with you immoral implies that as well...

So now you want to actively spread dumb, aggressively insulting ideas without listening to what we have to say, and you intend to get angry if we don't agree. That's what "religious morality" means when you say it.

Anathema doesn't seem to be the correct word. I can't think of anyone who despises morality in general, unless they're an anarchist, in which case, they wouldn't be liberal...

I don't actively try to proselytize, although in an ideal world I would want people to convert to Islam, but in order to do so they must do it out of their own volition. At the end of the day the religion is about your connection with God and adherence to being a good human being. I'm not calling everyone who disagrees with me immoral, but liberal society as a whole has become horribly immoral in my opinion. What's worse is that you liberals cry when your own free speech is hindered yet actively try to censor viewpoints that are contrary to your own. If someone broaches the subject of morality it's seen as some huge offense, like it's an unapproachable subject in this modern era.

Because you're a hypocrite. Almost every person I have seen who use "religious morality" is a massive hypocrite and regularly uses it to their advantage or when it suits them.

TC I completely agree with you and this is exactly why the US needs Sharia law. A fascist christian religious state is the only thing that can save us from those tyrannical liberals who want to persecute us for our benign beliefs.

Morality is subjective, religious morality is conservative and oppressive.
People are going to do things regardless of morality because at their core, people are selfish and greedy.
Allow anything morally contentious by law and let people make up their own minds, don't use a nanny state.
If it all goes to shit, that's just the way of things. It will happen sooner or later anyway.
