I know they're not all technically "conferences" but still

Hyped for Sony as always. Gonna miss quite a few of these due to work. I work until 4PM EST Monday so hoping to race home to see as much of Ubisoft's as possible.

Nintendo, as they have the most question marks and potential for exciting new announcements. Sony shouldn't and likely won't have too many big unknown games given their current slate, and Microsoft are focusing on Scorpio. Third parties seem more and more perfunctory every year at this thing.

I've noticed you have EA on top every single year despite the fact that their shows are near universally detested. I'm not saying you're wrong to have an opinion but I am curious as to why. Given that Bioware is rarely more than a 3 minute slot...

As for me I'm looking forward to wherever the hell Capcom's stuff shows up. Simply because of an ill founded rumour about MH5 on pc and consoles. I need it. I want it. Give it to me.

It's usually because of BioWare, but this year I'm extremely stoked for a possible reveal of EA Motive's Jade Raymond/Amy Hennig Star Wars project, and pretty darn stoked for Battlefront 2 as well. I'm sure the overarching conference will be dumber than a box of bricks, but I'm here for the Star Wars license.

Nintendo: Including the Treehouse Streams, these have been the highlight of the last few E3s for me. Even though the scope is rather limited this year, focusing on the remnants of 3DS support and the handful of tentpole 2017 Nintendo releases, I'm hopeful we get a glimpse at what's to come in 2018. If not, Xenoblade, Mario, and Splatoon is enough to carry a show.

PC Gaming Show: lotta PC strategy games up in here. that's my jam.

Sony: I'm expecting a low key event compared to last year. Most of the games Sony showed last year aren't even out, so we're likely getting extensive coverage of them again. While I liked the format, the only game that really hit for me was The Last of Us 2. There's still some surprises in store so it's not a compete wash.

Devolver: One of the best publishers out there. I have no idea what could be here. It could be a huge disappointment, or an exciting line-up of indie games anchored by The Talos Principal 2. Total unknown.

Bethesda: AKA The Wolfenstein Show. I love those two recent Wolfenstein games though so that's okay with me. Maybe we get some kind of small-scale expansions to Dishonored 2 or DOOM? I'd like that. Not a lot else here that interests me. There's Fallout 4 VR, whatever that Bethesda service game is, Quake Champions, The Evil Within 2, eh. But man. Wolfenstein is great.

Microsoft: New hardware is always exciting, but I'm not a fan of Microsoft's big games. At least we'll have State of Decay 2, Forza 7 (Forza X?), and maybe even Ori & The Willow of the Wisps.

Ubisoft: I still like Assassin's Creed, god help me. Short of a new Rayman game, there's little else Ubisoft does that interests me.

EA: a total known quantity. Sports, Need For Speed, Star Wars, that Bioware service game. Yawn.

I still miss Iwata, I feel like this year will be the first E3 to not have any of his influence. So it's difficult to know if they'll continue the video game equivalent of, dudes we're disney. Or go another way. They still have Reggie at least.

I'm gonna revise the ranks to put it above Microsoft, too, actually. There's a lot of splendor on that front that I'd love to sink my teeth into someday -- plenty of great-looking RPGs with worlds I hear-tell contain real depth.

The last few years? 2015 was great. We had the Nintendo World Championships, the Muppet Direct, and extensive 3DS coverage at Treehouse. 2016 wasn't as eventful, but we still had like 8 hours of Zelda and a lot of time devoted to 3DS

Keep in mind this is because the Wii U was pretty much dropped like a hot potato so they could focus entirely on the Switch. The last couple years of that console were pretty much nothing.

On that note, most looking forward to Nintendo this year to see if Switch can continue building momentum.

Anyways, Nintendo's my answer, but I'm actually looking forward to Sony and Bethesda's stuff too. I wanna see if we're getting more details on KH3 or if we're going to be getting yet another spin-off.
