ROYAL RUMBLE!

The show starts with a limo pulling into the arena. Who is it?! Who could it possible be?! It's... its'....
It's Vince McMahon! Vince is met by Renee, Renee asks her what to expect from the Royal Rumble and Vince steals her microphone and tells her that he is taking charge of the show today!! (88)

Hype video for Styles vs Jericho vs Orton, Cesaro vs Big E vs Owens, and the Rumble itself! (90)

We come back to Vince McMahon hosting the Royal Rumble. He is checking with the entrants to the Rumble. He first approaches Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, Heyman states that while Brock isn't unhappy with his number he isn't happy either. Hassan says that his number isn't fit for a man of his stature but Kurt Angle comes behind him to tell him that a real American would be willing to overcome the odds! Bray Wyatt looks disturbed while picking his number but is disturbed further when he is approached by Kane and Finn. (81)

In a close match, Austin Aries defeats Sami Zayn to become the United States Champion!! (70, they had no chemistry)

We check in with Vince McMahon. In line you see Cody Rhodes, Luke Harper, Mr. Anderson, Samoa Joe, Big Cass and Braun Strowman. Strowman opens the number he selected and is so angry that he flips the ball machine and a few tables and walks off. Vince tried to get a comment from Braun but Braun pushed his camera man. (80)

We return to the ringside area for the Women's rumble match! The first two women in the ring were Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. Charlotte comes out. Charlotte is followed by Tamina. The three hoursmen team up on Tamina and she is eliminated. Natayla is next but the team up effort doesn't work. Carmella comes to her aid and Paige after her. We get Sasha, Becky, and Charlotte beating up Natalya, Paige, and Carmella until the three horsewomen team up on Carmella. Nikki Bella comes in and prevents the same thing from happening to Natalya. The 9th entrant is Velvet Sky who gets a microphone and talks about how overrated the RAW women are. The 6 members in the ring team up on Velvet and she goes out almost immediately. The 10th entrant is Alexa Bliss who is on WWE TV for the first time I believe in my TEW. She comes in and eliminates Paige and Nikki Bella. The horsewomen attempt to come after her but she flips Charlotte out of the ring. The other two women get Alexa on the edge of the ring and Charlotte pulls her legs out from under her and Alexa gets eliminated. Finally, Sasha and Becky are both flipped out of the ring by Natalya and Natalya retains! (64)

We return to Vince and the numbers being pulled we come in to see Bully Ray and Seth Rollins laughing about how much better their numbers are compared to Dean Ambrose who is stuck at number 1. Roman Reigns walks into the room and the three have a face off. Roman Reigns tells them if he gets his hands on them it will be --- GLORIOUS, that's right Bobby Roode cuts him off and Roode says "That's right it will be GLORIOUS when he wins the Royal Rumble today." (90)

Tyler Breeze defeats James Storm, clean. (69)

We return to Vince to see Frankie Kazarian pulling a number. When asked how it went Christopher Daniels says "Let's just say we'll be a Bad Influence on everyone when Kaz wins the rumble, tonight!" (88)

The Cruiserweight Royal Rumble is a little more ridiculous. Curtis Axel was the first one into the match against Ultimo. Ultimo tries to do a high risk move and Axel pushes them out of the ring. He does this for Naito, Darren Young. He teams up with Heath Slater where they both do it to Kalisto, and Sin Cara. The ring is joined by Naito, Nakamura, Borne, and Neville. The group eliminates Slater but Axel is through the middle. Naito is eliminated by Borne, Borne is eliminated by Nakamura, and Nakamura is eliminated by Neville who is thrown over while celebrating because Curtis Axel never left! (64)

During, the WWE Title match it looked as if Big E had it won. He had hit the Big Ending to Kevin Owens through the announce table with the Big Ending. Cesaro, laying on the barricade was being charged at by Big E when Cesaro was pulled away from the barricade by a man in a hoody. Cesaro, staggering still is able to pick up Kevin Owens, take him to the ring, and hit him with the Neutralizer. Cesaro retains! (93)

After the match, the man in a hoody comes to celebrate with Cesaro... It's Chris Hero! The two have an awkward moment where it appears like Cesaro is upset but Hero is over the top celebrating for Cesaro. (85)

AJ Styles was able to defend his title against Chris Jericho and Randy Orton when Orton hit the RKO on a diving Jericho but was hit with a phenomenal forearm when he rebounded. (85)

The infamous Royal Rumble by the numbers promo comes on. (80)

We visit backstage one more time. Damien Sandow had just gotten the last number. He is clearly excited but Vince is preventing him from skipping down the hall way. Sandow said he is excited because the gods are on his because he got the luckiest number in Royal Rumble history number 27!! He cannot contain himself and begins to skip down the hall way. Vince begins to go "Back to you" when a crash is heard. They run down the hall to see Sandow thrown through a table and his number to be gone! (78)

It's Jake the Snake Roberts! (Tom's pick) He's here! Roberts comes into the ring and throws his bag at BRAUN. Braun throws the bag down, throws Roberts into the corner and Roberts goes down and isn't moving. BRAUN then tries to open the bad to find that DAMIAN is in the bag. While BRAUN is fighting the snake Dean is beating up Braun for hurting one of his favorite wrestlers.

Bray Wyatt begins to make his long entrance as BRAUN throws Ambrose and is staring down Wyatt until Wyatt eventually gets to the ring. The way BRAUN is standing and staring Bray believes to think that he has BRAUN hypnotized. He yells at BRAUN to eliminate the body of Glacier. BRAUN instead hits Bray with a running powerslam and Bray Wyatt is down! At this time, Jake Roberts who randomly appeared to be back on his feet taps BRAUN on the shoulder, hits him in the stomach and hits him with the DDT! Roberts is attacked by Hassan, Hassan is attacked by Dean, and Dean is attacked by the now awake Glacier! Wyatt then charges the whole group!

Charlotte, still being at ringside laughs at Bliss and the two brawl until the next entrant!

Braun rolls back into the ring begins to get on another roll throwing our Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson. He goes for Seth Rollins but is immediately fought off by Dean because Dean wants Rollins. Braun is also stopped by the Undertaker. They face off but then Goldberg comes in. Goldberg and Undertaker team up on Braun. Taker chokeslams Braun and picks him up. Goldberg spears Braun again and then they pick him up and they both attempt to push him over but here comes Harper and he hits them with the Big Boot and BRAUN is finally eliminated. In his rage of his elimination, Braun goes to the announce table and throws the Miz into the ring. When Goldberg is staring towards Braun, Goldberg is flipped out of the ring by the Undertaker! The two yell at each other some and Goldberg leaves. When Undertaker is staring Goldberg down he is launched from the ring by Luke Harper!

Still in the ring: Ambrose, Bobby Roode, Roman Reigns, Luke Harper, Chris Hero, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and The Miz.

The group of Bobby Roode, The Miz, and Chris Hero teamed up on Luke Harper and they attempted to throw him out but he saved himself and rolled into the corner. It was at that point that Bobby Roode went off! He Spinbustered The Miz, GLORIOUS DDT to Chris Hero, Elimination to The Miz. Chris Hero tried to sneak Roode like he did on Cena but Roode suplexed him out of the ring.

Roode begins to celebrate when the refs point towards Luke Harper who is now on his feet. The two come together, do the whole point at the WrestleMania sign and they brawl! The fight went back and forward until Roode went to eliminate Harper. Harper went over and began to celebrate again but Harper had skinned the cat! Roode hits the GLORIOUS DDT again and attempted to throw Harper over the top rope again. Roode went to celebrate again but it was no good. When he turned Harper hit him with a discuss clothesline and powerbombed him out of the ring to WIN the Royal Rumble.

I think I liked that style of write-up for the rumble as far as tallying results goes. Was easier to envision and probably justified the bulk. Harper's a decent pick to win too.
