And wow, Adamanchelid is such a bullshit fight even on the U+. You can go from amazing run with mitigation and buffs all up to wipe in just seconds because of bullshit mechanics.

Not even bothering with Adamanwhatever. Mastered JS Proud Clad. Shantotto died after taking a couple lasers in a row after ultimate retaliatory strike, but everything went well aside from that. Was able to use her lightning chain and keep it up, allowing Orlandu (with help from Lightning USB RW) to hit 99999 3 times. Subbed Onion Knight in for Tyro, as I have SSII and Asylum with Y'sh. JS enabled be to use both. First time ever that I haven't brought Tyro to an ultimate or higher difficulty battle.

Ultimates mastered. Vaan pretty much wrecks every boss here.

Atmos was easy, Gravity spells are annoying but after Vaan BSB hits him his damage outside of that is pathetic.

I tried Cid Missioning Zombie Dragon first but since I don't have a medica for this realm I couldn't get past the Ultimate Zombie Breath spam he does when his health is low, but I don't need Major Power Orbs anyway since I have an abundance of them so I switched to Vaan, Orlandeau, Beatrix, Tyro and Y'shtola. Wall + Vaan's bsb made his damage pitiful, he couldn't break stoneskin until after 2-3 Ultimate Zombie Breaths/Thundagas.

Ark was also easy, I switched Orlandeau for Fang since I got her new BSB earlier this week and used the 5 hit first command on him. She was a bit underwhelming for damage through since it was just 2500-3500 per hit but she got the job done. Just use Power Breakdown and Vaan's BSB and this boss gets mitigated pretty hard, the only thing you have to worry about is getting confused.

After last week's frustrations it's nice to have some breather Ultimates.

Mastered all ultimates.

Vaan's BSB was indeed made for these 3. Atomos and Dracozombie both gave me no issues. Ark SHOULDN'T have given me any, except I hit Tyro's USB instead of SG, and SG ran out right after that cast, which gave me trouble, as Ark still had 1/3 HP left. Yuna ended up dying, and Alphinaud and Vaan were kneeling, but beat him before he could hit another AOE.

Will do the Jump Start tomorrow, but I don't see it causing many issues. I can use Vaan for support, switch out Tyro for Luneth for more wind damage, and use Y'sh for wall and Asylum.

I actually think I'm skipping all of them

I have at least 2 dupes in all of them including 7 in banner 5 lol

1+2 only have 2 dupes, but neither are that exciting.

I might throw 50 at banner 2, but throwing down 100 on the upcoming FF6 and FF7 banners seems more appealing

Or maybe I'll save my stash of 300 Mythril for even longer. My team is freaking stacked right now

i have 6 dupes each in phase 1 and 4. pretty much no way i'd pull on those.

3 in 5, 2 in 2, and only 1 in 3

3 has the two relics i've chased the most and failed to get - Ashe's Defiance, and Saintly Excalibur. the rest of that banner though... Lightning and a bunch of nobodies i don't really want to use.

2 and 5 each have 1 of the mainstays i'm still missing - OK gauntlets and SG. might consider them if they were on the same banner, but on different banners, with only a couple other things each i want... probably not.

I have a lot of those relics. I want the Sword of the Father though but the risk is much more likely to happen than the reward because I have a shit ton of the relics on there.

I only need a handful of relics to have perfect teams in my realms and some of those guys just don't get relics that often.

The Curaga and Imperil banners don't really appeal to me. Too many dupes or shitty relics.

I'm kinda torn on the Curaga one since I already have Y'shtola and Vanille's BSB so I don't really need more white mage relics, but at the same time I can't Cid Mission the Zombie Dragon since I don't have a medica for that realm so I might pull in hopes of getting a medica for a realm I don't have one in for future Cid Missions.

Cid Misson'd Ultima Weapon with a mage team, I have Quistis quickcast/hasteaga super and had her and Fujin use Raines RW to do a quick kill before he could use Light Pillar. Rinoa used Summons, Irvine use his break/hyper breakdown and he died before anyone could even get a full bar of meter.

Is it just me or is that Imperial Lucky banner really underwhelming? I have 11/34 on it but even if I didn't there's nothing on there that makes me actually want to pull

11 I have are: Guy SSB, Edward BSB, Faris SSB, Locke BSB, Laguna SSB, Edea SSB, Zidane BSB, Beatrix BSB, Fran SSB, Fang BSB, Agrias BSB

It's a more bad than good LD but there's still some good stuff there like Lightning's BSB2. Imperils are also really valuable these days since high level bosses are only 20% weak to an element and stacking them leads to better DPS. Understandable if someone skips it through especially with all the other good banners coming up.

I Cid Mission'd Barthandelus, I was dreading having to do this fight again but his HP is much lower than the Nabaat event one, probably because he casts aoe Doom at the start. He died before he could do status effect shenanigans thankfully.

Not interested in this one at all.

If you're farming orbfest (who isn't?), you can skew your drops towards Summon Orbs by repeating round 1 or towards Ice Orbs by repeating round 2. This is because the greater orbs from the mini-cactuars will always be Summon in round 1, Ice in round 2, and Earth in round 3. This means you can't specifically target Earth Orbs, but it's not like anyone would want to, anyways.

The FFTA event started in Japan, FFTA shares the same synergy with FFT thankfully. I was worried we'd have to juggle more realms.

The banner is really good too, Ramza gets a new Burst that has shout, holy infusion, 5 hit command 1 and major Soul Break meter boost to an ally command 2.

Terra's USB on Banner 4 is the most sought after relic of the Summer Fest, some argue it's even more broken than Raines' BSB. Vaan, Fuijin and Alphinaud's bursts are also on the same banner.

That said seems like most people are skipping the Summer Festival in favor of the Cloud USB banner.

Oh speaking of Raines' BSB this is apparently the last time for a long time it's going to show up since Japan still hasn't gotten a new FF13 event since the Jihl Nabaat one (which is so weird, FF13 events used to be pretty much bi-monthly.)

Can someone explain the appeal of Terra USB to me?

I know what it does, but quickcasting Chain Firagas, or 4 shots of Meltdown, doesn't sound remotely broken. Is it mostly just for comboing with her OSB (which I don't have)?

I believe Terra USB has two notable traits driving the hype. First, its custom status lasts 25 seconds, while USBs normally wear off after 15. Second, Terra has another casting speed bonus in her Legend Dive, and it stacks with the USB boost. (Coming up: Magicite Dungeons, which offer better rewards for faster completions.)

Also Terra's Legend Materia has double cast of fire spells if you have that. She can also quick wrath into OSB spam.

As someone with Larsa BSB, I can attest to the quality of that thing. It's absolutely amazing. I have a lot of healer BSBs, and his is, imo, the very best one available right now. So many bosses love status effects, and the Status Blink is a real godsend.
