First of all, go visit a maid cafe while you still can.

Second of all, are the toilets all high tech? Do you feel your butthole muscles have weakened due to relaince on them?

Thirdly, do they have a lot of wild sex toys there? Have you tried them?

Lastly, have you seen any dank game shows or shows in general over there that you wish/hope to continue watching back home?

Since you're a white guy, did people ever glance or look at you funny since you were foreign? Did you feel like girls were staring at you? Like if you were on the subway or something. Or did you feel like you didn't stand out that much even though you were foreign? I'm assuming maybe thats a natural thing for Tokyo where they get lots of tourists. Have you been to other Japanese cities that seemed different?

Do you lift at the gym? Height and weight?

Its funny, I always get these stories from other white guys where they say Japanese girls are the easiest thing in the world.

I wouldn't know though, since I'm brown.

In addition to Tokyo I've been to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Sapporo. Sometimes I feel like I stand out, but for the most part it's not a big deal as people are pretty used to gaijins. I actually found that in Hiroshima and Kyoto there were way more tourists in one place at one time than in Tokyo. I generally stay out of Tokyo's touristy areas, though (Roppongi). Sapporo was probably my favorite city and had the least amount of white people. I distinctly remember two girls sitting across from me on the train whispering and giggling while looking at me, lol.

I don't lift. 5'11" 150 lbs

The thing about Japanese girls always being all over white dudes here is a myth. It's funny, because Japanese guys have a perception about American women being easy. Honestly the language barrier and more importantly the culture barrier are so hard to get by. Japanese girls are usually pretty shy and timid so don't be surprised if they just freeze up when a big scary hakujin approaches them. Even if you're able to get past all that people here just aren't as promiscuous/open sexually.

Of course, these are all generalizations and I've met plenty of Japanese girls that don't fit that description. but the point is that the Japanese girls being so easy for white guys myth is bullshit.

I have a girlfriend back in the states. There was one night when I got so blackout drunk and brought some Japanese girl home with me(who had lived in California and spoke very good english). By the time we were back in my room I had sobered up enough and told her that I couldn't do anything, I have a girlfriend, etc etc. She starting bawling, I threw up and fell asleep with her crying, woke up and to my surprise she was still there. Kicked her out and checked all my belongings. never again.

Eh, maybe, I'd feel so self conscious >_>

Yes, the toilets are crazy. One time I was in cafe and when I walked in the bathroom the toilet opens up automatically, LED backlights go out, and it says "irashai" (welcome). Pretty much all the toilets in nice-ish places have different bidet settings, have air fresheners, can play music, and always have a bunch of other buttons I can't figure out the purpose of.

Haven't seen any.

I honestly don't watch any TV, I've only seen that on youtube like the rest of you.

my knowledge of nihongo is pretty rudimentary but I can get by. I can read Hiragana and Katakana pretty well but you really need to know Kanji if you want to do anything useful like read a menu or a magazine or whatever. Also I usually don't know what the words I read mean lol.

Desu is a verb of existence that pretty much just means "is" "am" or "are". "John desu" means "am John", which is perfectly grammatical in Japanese. I could say "Watashi wa John desu" which means "I am John" but Japanese language lets you cut out subjects a lot to be filled in with context.

Eh, 6. May seem harsh but that's above average in my book. I had pretty high expectations and thought I would make more friends than I did. I love Tokyo but I miss home. Was definitely worth it just for the gained perspective alone.

Alcoholic: there's this yogurt liquor that comes in a little glass bottle. Remember Danimals? It's exactly like that, but alcoholic. So good.

Non-alcoholic: Realgold. It's like a lite energy drink, kind of like half monster and half gatorade. Keeps you awake and also hydrated and tastes pretty good. Great for nights at the i-cafe.

Yes, I think it's pretty gross.

It's a copula, not a verb. There are various uses for it aside from the one you mentioned, for example it can also be used to add politeness to a sentence (in which case it has nothing to do with the state of being.)

Eh on average I'd say I thought I saw more attractive Japanese women then here in the states. Obviously more variety here, but there were some lookers over there.

I haven't really gone looking, but there are a bunch of secondhand electronic shops in Akihabara so I wouldn't be surprised.
