What you're arguing is like saying "you don't like any rap songs? But there are so many kinds, depending on who the artist is, and..."

Eh, not really

It's like saying you hate the texture of all desserts

What tcaz said, but also yes I do think saying "I don't like rap music" is dumb also. There ARE so many kinds. Even if you don't like the rapping itself, rap music has a pretty broad spectrum of rapping and instrumentals.

And if you don't like like rap music at all, and refuse to listen to it, I wouldn't say you're a fan of music. You might like some music, but you don't like music in general.

Which is the same with food. When you say you don't like vegetables like that, it sounds like you don't actually like food.

This isn't wrong in my case, I strongly dislike going to the lengths I have to go to to make eating food not feel like a chore

As for vegetables, "corn isn't at all similar to broccoli" isn't a very convincing argument when the flavor of both I cannot stomach without vomiting

No, you're the one that is making the fallacious argument. Vegetables are more akin to music as a whole, with many, many different kinds of styles, textures, and flavors that can't even remotely be compared to one another.

Those are the other food groups.

i don't like vegetables and i've considered going vegetarian. mostly because i feel like complete shit when i eat meat.

but i can't do it. i dislike nuts and beans even more than vegetables. most soy products too. i don't even really like cheese all that much, but it's okay. and i do actually like meat.

assuming op means green vegetables, I prefer most of them cooked, except leafy veggies, which are usually good raw. But they are all good. Canned and boiled vegetables kind of suck ass, but steam/roast them while fresh/frozen and they are usually delicious.

because corn is amazing

anyway, tier list time

Great: corn, potatoes

Good: tomatoes, grilled/sauteed onions, green onions

Okay: cabbage, lettuce, green beans (these are really variable though; badly-done beans are disastrous)

Bad but can be disguised well enough: broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, carrots, zucchini

Irredeemably bad: bok choy, bell peppers, olives, peas, brussel sprouts, bean sprouts, celery, napa cabbage, water chestnuts

I have never tried any type of olive that I didn't find extremely delicious (the only thing that would deter me from eating an entire jar of green olives in one sitting is the absurd sodium levels). bell peppers are great, red is my least favorite but I still like all types. peas, bean sprouts and celery are all pretty good.

I used to never eat my vegetables (with rare exceptions), and that lasted well into adulthood. It's only been in the last year or two that I've made an effort to eat them, and after so much time avoiding them I have a hard time doing it. It's getting a little easier, especially if I eat them with something that has a stronger flavor.

If it grows from the flowering part of the plant, it's botanically a fruit.

Veggies are roots and leaves.

Legumes are basically the seeds of fruits that are dry.

The main reason why is because there was a high tax on fruits but not vegetables, so farmers "rebranded" them...

They aren't actually terrible for you. Obviously you shouldn't regard them like other vegetables, but potatoes especially are decently nutrient rich, especially if you eat the skin.
