Started Ys Origin, beat the first boss and got the Blue Necklace. Seems I don't remember much of what I played in the PC version at all.

Some of the enemies are garb(the spear throwing ones who teleport you being the most offensive) but overall a solid roguelike.

Didn't do enough for me to play it again though because it isn't anywhere near my favs.

I actually liked being teleported because it almost always gave me breathing room. On occasion, it would be inconvenient as I was on the verge of permanently destroyed any linked flying fish.

I've since read some Steam reviews for Punch Club and it's apparently glitchy and not very fun, so I think I'll switch my nomination back to E.V.O.

It often times f***ed me when I was close to making it to the next floor.

Hell against the final boss I killed the boss but there was a couple of the teleporting a******s still spawned and they managed to dick me over to the point I died before making it to the exit door.

Oh cool, E.V.O. was chosen. And someone already seems interested in playing it!

For anyone who hasn't heard of it, I barely remember the game myself but it's a neat platformer with RPG mechanics where you slowly evolve your character, giving them horns or tougher claws and whatnot. I remember it being a unique, fun experience but I guess I'll test the veracity of those memories next month.

The other game I'm playing has been a lot longer than I'd planned so I haven't started it yet, but I still intend to do Ys Origin before the end of the month!

I wish that Unravel or Dropsy would have taken one of the other spots. It might be tough fitting in both Tomb Raider and Wolfenstein.

Just a few days left in the month, and unless I am mistaken, Breath of the Wild and Ys Origin still haven't been beaten. Will either or both become the first game(s) to have nobody beat within the month?

I'm going to start Ys Origin tonight and will do my absolute best to finish it before the end of the month.

Out of curiosity, at what point do you consider the month to end? Is it midnight of our individual timezones or midnight in one specific timezone?

I don't know if there's any B8ers who participate in this that live in a time zone further west than the Pacific time zone, so I just consider the month to end when I wake up the morning of the 1st (I live in the Eastern time zone)

I'm just wondering because I don't get home from work until after midnight and an extra hour or two on what's technically the 1st might make the difference! Anyway, hopefully I won't need it.

Beat the final boss of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

96 shrines, 190ish korok seeds, yadda yadda.

Still have one final memory to find.

Ys Origin progress: got to level 8 in the tower, and if my Ys I knowledge is correct I'm almost a third of the way to the top. There's that little offshoot somewhere up there, but still.

Got Yunica to level 10 and tried to proceed but eventually drowned trying to get the item to continue on despite having the item allowing to breathe underwater, so it's basically an extended time trial ahead. Will keep that in mind next time I head forward.

Works well on Vita too via remote play, so after I beat it this time I'll do the other two characters on Vita when that version releases.

Ok, found the final memory today, rebeat the final boss.

Still have a smattering of shrines to find (and a ton of koroks to not find), but yeah, I've beaten it.

I started Ys Origin and I just passed the 15th floor, reaching (slight location spoilers) Rado's Annex It's a good game so far! Different from Ys I and II for sure, but I'm not sure which gameplay style I prefer yet. I chose Yunica, for the record. Not sure how different the characters even are.

The third big demon boss kicked my ass until I toggled dash to always being on and then he was super easy. I've liked all the bosses so far, though. It's neat trying to figure out how to damage them. It also took an embarrassing amount of time for me to realize I could keep hitting the jump button in order to swim!

Other than learning to swim I didn't have much trouble with the underwater sections, the air gauge was pretty lenient (once I realized I needed to equip the item that is >_>). Still, I'm playing on Easy because I need to finish this before the end of the month. Maybe the air gauge is something difficulty impacts, I dunno.

Robazoid has beaten Ys Origin

A whole day early, too! Maybe I didn't need to set it on easy after all but oh well, it's probably better I didn't risk it, especially since I suck at video games.

I liked this game a lot! Definitely better than Ys I and II but they were all solid. YsO had less mazes and way less BS hidden items than the first two, so that was good. It still would've been nice to have a mini-map (and maybe more branching paths for more exploration)

Is anyone planning on playing any for April except Roba and I for our games and maybe MMX and Lolo for E.V.O.? Or did I pick a bad month to have games selected with Persona 5 coming out (maybe it already did)?

Persona 5 is April 5th.

And nope I have no plan to play any of them when I could be playing it instead myself(will prolly play some Automata also though).
