i love a good "late nite" drive. With gas prices going up a bit i don't do it nearly as often, but sometimes i just like being on the road late at night with almost no traffic. It helps me organize my thoughts at times to be honest.

With that said, i hate driving during any "big traffic" parts of the day. I'm somebody who does almost all my "errands" from 8am till noon, or 7pm till 10 ish if i work that day.

Why do people prefer public transportation? I see some of the potential benefits, including cost and lack of traffic for trains. But maybe it's because it's LA, but I've had nothing but frustration with the buses and trains here. It took me as long as 2 hours to get to my community college by bus (15 minutes by car) each way, and 3-4 hours each way to my university (25-30 minutes by car). They put in a new rail line on the street that goes right by my school, so that's good. The cost of monthly passes comes out to about 50 cents more than just buying a gallon of gas (I've checked, and that's about how much I use on a round trip) per day. To me, the costs are worth the 2.5-3.5 hours per day that I save.

I love driving. It's a great way to be by myself, blast some music, roll down the windows and just exist.

I drive stick, which makes it funner, too.

I enjoyed riding on motorbikes. Personal transport is the future. Public transportation are the worst especially in cities, what could what been a simple 12 minute ride turns into a 2+ hours of a combination of buses, ferry, trains, waiting, and walking in summer heat. Riding also has the added benefit of making picking up chicks easy.

I prefer being a passenger to actually driving. I just don't find any real enjoyment in driving, it is just a way to get from way place to another.

I'm neutral towards it for the most part. It's relaxing when there isn't too much traffic, but I was never really excited about doing it.
