I saw a rumor that one potential turn for the story would be that the baby is Daniels's baby and that he was one of the men who gave her drugs and took advantage of her. IF THAT TURNS OUT TO BE TRUE, then the angle submarines below every other angle ever created into "most despicable angle of all time" status.

I don't know, I think that at least fulfills your desire of a heel that wouldn't get cheered <_< "Yay, here comes the man who drugged and raped a girl then used her trying to get help with her pregnancy to try to blackmail his former friend and the company boss! I'm so happy! Yay!" just doesn't sound quite right.

That would make for a pretty unpleasant storyline.

And as I've said before the only problem with his promos is he has a face promo style as a heel. Which is Miz's problem too to a lesser extent.

Last night was an outburst so today let's be positive.

The resolution to the Aries title conundrum was INCREDIBLE and one of the most productively creative things I've seen in recent memory. Two titles both elevated in one fell swoop and so many boundless possibilities for storylines.

Way off the mark here Jakyl. It just turns the X-Division title into a glorified Money in the Bank briefcase that you can only cash in at Destination X. It completely devalues the X-Division belt because it is no longer a goal worth pursuing in its own right; its only value is as a stepping stone to the world title. Who in their right minds would even WANT the X-Division title immediately after Destination X? Why win it now and have to defend against increasingly-determined challengers all year, when you could just win it at Slammiversary and throw it away without ever having to defend it?

It's pretty widely accepted that vacating a title detracts from its prestige, at least temporarily. Why would it be a GOOD thing to set a title up to be vacated on an annual basis?

I actually think that's far more than most titles are at this point. If I'm a wrestler if I'm not owning a world title I want the X Division title at this point. The US and IC Titles are a joke right now, so is the WWE Tag. You could maybe make a case that it's the least prestigious TNA title at this point but yeah.

see, titles being 'stepping stones' is what they already unofficially are. if you mean that it devalues this belt because it makes the title not worth having at the level of the main belt, then yes. that's certainly true. something like this very clearly makes it not worth as much as the main belt.

but it wasn't already. and tier 2 belts exist as unofficial stepping stones. none is a bigger offender than WWE at this with how much they gloat about all the people who've held the IC that went on to become world champions. you're a level underneath used to assume that you'll get the main belt later. this however assures that actually does happen and you're given a chance to compete.

really, they'll work out the kinks to this next time when they DONT' have someone murder the division like Aries did. immediately assumed that a heel would win at the match before destination x dirty, thusly setting you off for the 'final qualifier' to who fights at the PPV between X-Division champs ala No. 1 contendership from those who 'deserve' it. they'll try to figure things out then, have people deny, etc. if you want the X-Division title to matter MORE then... outside of being able to do the reverse with the main belt and the two flipping back and forth (this would be a cool way for a heel to mark himself as 'the longest time with gold'), can't see it happen. however mattering and being a decisive No. 2 belt makes it the strongest possible midcard belt out there.

RAW was pretty lame, but Smackdown was really great, the tag division actually startin to look badass again! And Dolph/Sheamus, Christian/Del Rio bringing some solid matches.

The next feud had Team 3D along with the X-Division traitor Johnny Devine against The Motor City Machineguns and the entire TNA X Division. Team 3D and Devine lost at Against All Odds 2008 meaning that they have to be under two-hundred seventy-five pounds in order to compete in the X Division. However, the angle was dropped.
