After Raw went off the air, Big Show slapped John Laurinaitis's chest twice then left. Then, Cena called Ryder out, who came out and grabbed Johnny and stopped him from leaving, brought him to the ring, and gave Johnny a Broski kick. The crowd was hot for Ryder, even though he wrestled on Superstars earlier.

Finally, Hunter came out, mentioned Johnny's chest was red, but his back was white, and Cena chopped his back twice, then Hunter gave him the Pedigree. The faces left afterwards. Finally, Johnny got to his feet and was at the top of the ramp when Vince came out, made like he was going to help him, and then gave him a low blow. That was where it ended for the live crowd.

So, I wanna rant for a second... kind of wondering if anyone agrees with me on any of this stuff.

I'm pretty disappointed on how the whole Johnny thing went down. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to complain TOO much, because at least they got the very basics right in that the heel authority figure actually got what they deserved (*cough* Hogan), but I feel like all the details were handled pretty horribly. The timing doesn't make a lot of sense, the circumstances don't make a lot of sense, the adversaries don't make a lot of sense. Etc. What was the point of having him go over Teddy at WM just to have power for a few months and engage in a crappy feud with Cena? What was the point of having him go against Cena and Vince when Punk and HHH had MUCH larger issues with him at one point? Was there ever any plans for slave Teddy to go anywhere as an angle? What about Aksana and Claudio, we've seen them what, twice?

This whole thing just feels like it was rushed and aborted rather than fully fleshed out and thought through.

That segment was good? Slater was the only good part and he was basically crapping on it too.

Also I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like the AJ thing? To me she feels like... a poseur, I guess? A tryhard? I'm not buying this crazy character from her-- and I'm a man who loves his crazy characters. In fact this may be the only crazy woman gimmick I haven't fawned over ever. Also making Kane look stupid harkening back to his late 90s run where he was basically a giant gorilla.

Anyway yeah Raw was terrible. Time to take another few week hiatus and see if it improves next time.

I agree that this is making Kane look bad, but I think AJ has this whole thing DOWN. The skipping is a bit over the top sure, but her facial expressions are ****ing perfect.

Oh and I don't mean I disliked the segment with Slater. It was actually the best segment.

I just mean that... Slater was the reason it was good, and Cole was basically just feeding into what Slater thought of the segment, so I don't see why Cole making fun of it was a bad thing in this case. Now if he'd been doing something like dissing Slater's singing or something yeah that would've been bad but I thought his "ridicule the hell out of the segment" bit was well used there.

I'll also say that the problem might be that AJ debuted with a character that was so polar opposite this one that might be hurting it for me. Like the other crazies I love(d) like Daffney, Mickie James, and Victoria, they all broke in with that as their thing-- then bailed on it (well, in the case of the latter two, anyway) later. Winter too I guess, in that it was her first TNA character. AJ sorta just shifted into it and in a way that I didn't really buy the transitions for.

The look might be hurting her too actually. There's no menace there (and it's also something she isn't good with her facial expressions from what I saw of her Caitlyn encounters, which doesn't help). Like I can't even buy her beating up other divas if she flips out... I mean I'm not saying that Mickie James looked like she could manhandle someone but she was at least she wasn't smaller than everyone. AJ is basically the women's wrestling equivalent of Spike Dudley or Rey Mysterio.

I dunno I'm just saying I feel like I should love this yet don't and it makes me sad.

The beginning with Lauper and Fat Wendy Richter was awful, but Piper showing up and doing the nice tribute to Captain Lou (and in the process, closing out a 20 year old story) was great
