I don't get into the games enough to do much in the way of breeding. This is much easier for me, a filthy casual.

I don't blame you. I bred a shiny Lilligant with own tempo and nearly perfect IVs... only for it to have a neutral nature instead of modest. I still use her, of course, but breeding is a lot of effort.

Yeah, it's kind of a massive pain in the neck to me. I respect those who get into it -- it's not like something I actively detest or anything, it's a cool concept -- but it's just not something I'll ever make the time to get big on.

Eh, I never breed for stats or anything, dump a female Eevee and pretty much any other quadruped in the day care. run around in circles for an hour and you'll have the eggs. seems easier than catching them to me, but it's your call.

After you beat the E4, you get access to Challenge Mode, which is basically Hard Mode.

By the way I was checking a fan translation of the game and...Jesus.

...They are fast huh. They should have the entire damn thing translated by the end of the month.

They can just copy most of that stuff from the fan translation of Black and White. The dialogue is going to take a while. It'll probably be out before the US release, but I wouldn't expect it by the end of the month.

Oh man, crits are going to happen everywhere. Still, it's 100% useless if it's not available from the start. :\

I guess I'll have friends with the game, so if it requires a restart I guess maybe I can jury-rig a chain to hold all my W2 Pokemon in their games. Before I begin my mass migration of all of my Pokemon from Black, White, AND my Gen IV games.

As far transferring, meh, I never do it anyway so I haven't noticed how arduous it might be. I trade with esurio on occasion, and a couple of my old RP friends from way back in the day still give me stuff they don't want, but that always happens within the realm of one generation.

Though, that said, version exclusive DIFFICULTY MODES would be idiotic and nonsensical. So I really DO think it's false.

version exclusive in the sense that the "key" to unlock it can only be earned on a specific version. You can transfer the key to any other player at any point in their game, regardless of version, it's just that Assist Mode key is only unlocked on White 2 and Challenge Mode key is only unlocked on Black 2

Serebii doesn't say anything about version exclusivity, but the Key thing seems to be legit.

But yeah, that sounds really damn annoying if that's accurate. The only way to do a playthrough on Hard would be to trade over a key on Unova Link when you first start the game. Maybe I'll use some save file shenanigans to send over a key to my W2 cart when I first start the game.

Haha the games are already easy mode. Who would want that? Starting a game on Hard mode would be pretty fun via trading that key though. Watch them not let you be able to trade it until post game or something or make it a Key Item.

It's fun, but it's been over three years since I touched Diamond, so my memory isn't as fresh on Sinnoh as it could be. Generally I remember finding it kind of bland as an overall landscape, with a few really cool touches.

So far I am diggin' the increased snow and whatnot, and enjoying the Pokemon selection and stuff.
