I apologize deeply. Another gig came in at the last minute, a really intensive one so not a whole lot of time to do anything and then my grandparents decided they would be coming for my sister's graduation early and I'd like to spend time with them since I only see them a couple of times a year if that. I hope you all understand.

I have walked the path of every being, felt the urges of all life and after millenia of memories I can say, without doubt that we, as humans, are the most Evil.
Oh nothing really. I'm halfway through a 4 week field school at the Kincaid Mounds. When we're not working in the field we're living in a gym in a small nearby town. There are actually two gyms we switch between, the old one that has the showers and dinner area and the new one that we sleep/hang out in and has AC and much better wi-fi (yay). This past week the newer gym was being used so we had to stay in the old gym for a bit (we could still sleep in the new one though which was nice of them). So yeah, I'm living in a gym voluntarily.
Ah... I'm sorry guys, but there's a pretty good chance this isn't going to happen. Lofast is pretty tenacious about continuing projects he's begun to write for, but since he hasn't done so on this one... Well, knowing him the odds aren't great.
Which sucks, this seemed like it'd be really fun V_V
Well that sucks. I refuse to let this topic die until we have a proper game. So this is now a CYOA.
You wake up just as you are getting out of your bed. Only your bed wasn't a bed, but lava. Your skin has mostly gone to hell but your magic has kept you alive. You look to your right and see an ice cave, challenging all known geography. Using ice as a mirror, you begin to reconstruct your face thinking that maybe a few adjustments wouldn't hurt. Thus, when you look at your face, right before you march on to the holy grail war, you decide to add:
a)A handlebar mustache b)Two sets of wheels to use as earrings c)Two sets of wheels to use as some sort of mustache d)A pokeball tattoo
I swear one day I'm going to run one of these and it will be the greatest thing ever.
As long as that day is "one day" and not "today" or an exact date in time like "July 27th, 2012," it will almost certainly never happen. Not only do they require a lot of work to put together; they require even more work to actually run properly.

I'll take you up on that challenge, i+1 will be finished by July 27th, 2012.

Servant list if this thing really isn't happening please!
From: JeffreyRaze | #229
I'ma talk to him tonight and release the servant list if he confirms this is dead.
Seeing as we actually have a War put together with players but no one to run it, I wonder if it might not make more sense to instead release the data to someone else to actually write the War, rather than release it publicly and kill the whole project. Of course, that's assuming that this is something you're both willing to do, and that such a person exists who would GM the War instead.

don't release the characters we submitted
Also, I agree with this. I'd like my Master kept private regardless of the circumstances.

There's always hope for better things in life. But you can't let anything, friend, lover, God himself, be your hope. You have to be your own hope.

you found me out
well, i did say i would pass i+1 down to my distant descendents as a family heirloom so this is only a natural extension
also yes that means the scep family line will persist for longer than the recorded history of the human race, deal with it

There's a lot of truth to this. Emotional Dreams didn't fully come together till I got a kick in the butt and really got focused on finishing everything. Many, many hours preceding the weeks before the war were spent toiling away getting everything done correctly and well, I have a lot to be thankful for regarding all the things, factors and help that bought the war together. And once it gets going, you'll spend a ton of hours just thinking about the war during the day, wondering about the moves people will make, how you'll manage to get every story update out before the deadline for the moves, making sure that every single status update is perfectly done. It's a hell of a lot of work, but it's an experience I wouldn't take back.

Yeah not gonna happen.
I will personally eat my shoe if you have signups and posted rules done by then.
So i+1 will be finished by the time the Olympics start? I'd love to see that. lol
And I was talking more about a writing project like this when I said I would run one of these one day. Because writing the story would be the fun part but writing rules and all that other stuff...not so much (not that I would have time to do that with the coming year and everything). But ideas are swirling currently. Ohohohoho!
Well, I don't even have the master details anyways. If anyone wants the info to write their own story using the players/character we have, give me a shoutout by sometime tomorrow. If nobody claims it, I'll just release them.
As long as we don't have to play as Assassin, gravy. Ew Assassin.
And I would never be inactive! And my class schedule is actually pretty good next semester (the classes are just kinda hard + other stuff). But this is all speculative of course.
Well, here goes. I don't have the character sheets so this is off the top of my head, but it's all good. Feel free to ask questions given that I'm only giving a very quick overview.
Servant: Saber True Name: Roland Noble Phantasm: Durandal, sword of the phoenix Notes: Saber is more or less a pure combat servant. One of the strongest in a normal fight, and with an extremely high level noble phantasm, pure power is the way to go with this servant.
Servant: Lancer True Name: Sun Wukong Noble Phantasm: Ruyi Jingu Bang Notes: Lancer is far too powerful to be fully summoned by any master (54000km in one somersault, lolwut?), so a much weakened version is in this war. Lancer possesses a number of items and tricks, but this leads to him exposing his true name quickly. Given that he has an exploitable weakness (rock on back = powerless), this means he needs to finish his foe right off... Which is difficult due to his personality. A powerful, but hard to control servant.
Servant: Archer True Name: Annie Oakley Noble Phantasm: Card Splitter Notes: Obscene accuracy. Could probably just get to a high point and snipe people anywhere in the city. Very dangerous to enemy masters, but extremely weak as far as servants go. Her bullets use high amounts magic energy despite her very low magical capacity, so backup from her master is much needed. Direct fights not recommended.
Servant: Rider True Name: Hannibal Noble Phantasm: Elephantry Notes: Father of strategy. In story, capable of figuring out the best tactic for any situation almost instantly. Relatively weak, but with an amazing noble phantasm that lays waste to a large area on use.
Servant: Caster True Name: Faustus Noble Phantasm: Mephistopheles Notes: All about timing. He's fairly weak unless using his noble phantasm, but once he does his power is absurd. However, he can only fight like that for 20 minutes, then cannot fight for 20 hours after that.
Servant: Assassin True Name: Jack the Ripper Noble Phantasm: Whitechapel Apothecary Notes: Very technical fighter. Obviously cannot fight head on easily, but when he does he aims right for the weakest point no matter what. Adept with traps and poisons. His noble phantasm is nearly as dangerous to his own master as it is for the enemy >_>. Also, screw all assassins being Hassan.
Servant: Berserker True Name: Achilles Noble Phantasm: Blessing of the Styx Notes: Cannot be harmed, unless his heel is struck. However, as the master is not informed of his origin, it lies to him to find his name before the opponent. As a berserker he charges straight in... Which doesn't matter much because not even a noble phantasm can damage him. Berserkers' master must end the war as soon as possible, as Berserker requires more power than your average master can produce, and cannot go into spirit form.
Master: True Name: Son Wukong Sex: Male Alignment: Chaotic Good
Strength: A Endurance: C++ Agility: B Magical Energy: D Luck: A Noble Phantasm: B
Class Skills
Magical Resistance: B: The ability to cancel out any magic that requires three verses or less.
Skills
Pheonix Feather: EX In life, Lancer had a cap with a pheonix feather that prevented death but not injury. The pheonix feather can revive him once. This ability is lost and must be recovered if his back is hit with heavy stone.
Dragon Boots: EX Boots made of dragon scales which allow Lancer to walk across the clouds. This ability is lost and must be recovered if his back is hit with heavy stone
Battle continuation: B The ability to continue battle after defeat. At Rank B the body can continue fighting for several minutes and strike a final blow even after death.
Divinity: C The strength of one's god-like nature, the more god-like blood possessed the higher this stat becomes.
Prankster: A Can't resist a chance to pull a prank on someone. At A it is very hard to control him when he sees his opportunity, the only thing he likes more is battle. With his chaotic nature quelled somewhat, he no longer pulls deadly pranks.
Details
Son Wukong was the Monkey god in Chinese Mythology.
A prankster who's pranks constantly resulted in death or great injury of the mortals he watched. He was extremely powerful and once snuck into the sea dragon's palace, leaving with the golden tipped staff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, the golden chainmail, the dragon boots, and the pheonix feather cap.
He refused to reincarnate as all beings should. He stole the book of life and death and erased his name, effectively making him immortal to age, but not death through battle and removing his ability to ever reincarnate.
The Dragon gods had had enough and trapped him under a mountain for centuries, allowing him to calm down and taking all his powers until a monk named Xuanzang, who was heading west, freed him. Son Wukong had only a normal staff but chose to serve the monk on his journey. In the west, Son Wukong was granted the gift of Nirvana, Buddahood and death which allowed him to make the contract and become a heroic spirit.
Noble Phantasms
Ruyi Jingu Bang: B
A magical staff owned by the dragons of the sea which controlled the ebb and flow of tides. It's width and length can be controlled by the owner. Unfortunately No master has the necessary magic to help Lancer change his own size meaning that he can only make the staff so long or big before he loses the ability to effectively wield it. Due to Lancer's weakness to being trapped beneath stone, if rock bigger than a human body hits him in the back, the Ruyi Jingu Bang will become a normal staff with no special abilities.
Anti Personnel Noble Phantasm Max targets: 1
Golden Chainmail: A
The armor stolen from the dragons of the sea. This greatly reduces any damage from any source. However, due to his feelings of wanting freedom, Lancer never wore the bottom part of the armor leaving his legs open and vulnerable.
Jack wasn't much better considering that the canon Jack the Ripper is better. The only thing that kept me from completely loathing my Servant was the thought of turning him into an over the top posh British gentleman.
Also, people who can't make an interesting Hassan don't deserve to make Assassins.
