GOOD NEWS THOUGH. I went up to the next route to add a teammate and I got a Hoothoot! Named SANT.

Too many flying Pokemon on my team dammit.

Now holy s***. SOROZONE was an inch away from death. So lucky I had a PSNCUREBERRY in my inventory, or else he wouldn't have made it to the Pokemon Center because he only had 4 hp left. Freakin' Magmars man.

Yeah, the National Park should be open, I think. And the route to the east of the National Park.

The latter was certainly available in HG/SS at least. I caught my Stantler and Growlithe before I fought Whitney, and then I swapped them back and forth a few times so their Intimidates incapacitated Miltank's attack.

Okay well now it's irrelevant because GEN just got killed by a wild Nidoran. I got in two Metronomes, first was a Mist, second was a Jump Kick that did like 5hp of damage. Then GEN got horned to death. That's what I get for being impatient.

Alright started over.

Named myself !!!

Got a Totodile and named it ###.

I'm just kidding I named it GENNY so you better be happy. You failed to pull through for me as a Togepi, so you better not fail me now!

I didn't grind at all, but I didn't run from any Pokemon either, so GENNY reached level 7 before I got to the fight with my rival, known as ???. I had to Scratch a Chikorita to death ;_;

At least later on it'll be a stupid Bayleef that I can kill kill kill. That and Meganium suck and I hate them. Chikorita should never evolve.

Went to have a little chat with Professor Elm about an egg that I wanted to eat but he was like no this is for science and I was like screw science I'm hungry but he wouldn't budge so I slapped him again and ended this run-on sentence.

Also the cop was like WHO WAS THAT MYSTERY GUY ??? and I told him his name was ???, duh.

Got mah pokeballz

First route, run into a Pidgey of course. GENNY critical hit Scratches the thing to death. Le sigh.

The next route welcomes our newest teammate. CHEYNE that Caterpie! Aww yeah. You probably won't last long.

On my way up the route CHEYNE evolves into a Metapod. Then I go into Dark Cave and guess what I find! Some rocks. More specifically a Geodude. I just named him GFK because I figured why not.

Reached the next town, heading to Bellsprout tower.

Well... this is what happens when you don't grind.

CHEYNE was kicking the ass of every Bellsprout that came his way, as he is the only one on my team that resists grass attacks. But even he couldn't take all the hits coming his way, he was down to 4hp after weakening a stupid Rattata for me to catch. I named it FODDER because I don't want to waste any usernames on such trash.

Especially since it literally died in the very next battle. So did GFK >_>

The trainer had three Bellsprouts and CHEYNE only had 4hp left! What was I supposed to do?! GENNY took care of the first two Bellsprout but he was dangerously low on hp, so I had to switch to FODDER to take a hit. Sacrificing him for the team. Then switched to GFK to get a Tackle in before he was one-shotted by a measly vine... At this point I was scared, because I wasn't sure GENNY could take the Bellsprout out in one hit, which would most likely result in GENNY's death.

But he pulled through. GENNY took the sprout out and I rushed the f*** back to the Pokemon center.

Yeah I grinded just a little bit after that, CHEYNE was a Butterfree after a few wild encounters and then he annihilated the Bellsprout Tower.

Now I'm worried about facing Falkner because CHEYNE won't last against birds, so hopefully I can find a Pokemon in one of the routes I haven't been to yet that might help. Otherwise I'll have to rely on GENNY.

UGH. Found a stupid Pidgey and took a shot at getting an Unown. OF COURSE NOT. Freakin CHEYNE used Confusion twice and the Unown was in orange health so I threw a Pokeball and it didn't stay in so I used Tackle because I knew it wouldn't kill the Unown, just weaken it more.

Unless of course you get a critical hit.

Should have seen that coming.

Once again my dreams of having an Unown are crushed.

Oh and I took on the gym too. I just relied completely on GENNY. He pulled through, but I had to grind just a bit in order to get him to lvl 13 so he could learn Water Gun. And then GENNY went on a bird hunt.

WHAT IS WITH THESE STUPID CRITICAL HITS. Found an Onix to catch in the next cave, so hells yeah. GENNY faces him, and I obviously know using Water Gun would be silly of me, so I use Scratch like four times to get Onix two hits away from death (with Scratch). SO NATURALLY the next Scratch is a critical. Killing Onix. A Scratch attack. I'm pissed.

At least GENNY evolved.

And now I just caught a Spearow in the next route... Named him SOROZONE. And I put the last Pidgey I caught in the box because they're both literally the same thing right now, both lvl 6, both female. I don't need both of them and since Pidgey isn't named after any of you I figured it'd be nicer to go with Spearow. Especially since I don't feel like using Pidgey again.

Sorry I haven't been playing in a while, Blues game and then Zen let me know of a new "model" of Fire Red. It has all Pokemon from gen 1-5 and the routes and dialogue are all different and stuff. And some Pokemon have different types, there are new made up Pokemon, new made up moves, and it seems most Pokemon have new abilities too. So now I'm playing that at the moment. I'll get back to Crystal soon, hopefully.
