(T-90) Genshin Impact - Rhymes of Vales https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXaKoH2zZSQ Nominated by: azuarc Scores: 3 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 5 = 24 Comments: Disillusion: Ooh, heavy on the Middle Eastern vibes with this song. It hits all the usual notes I would expect from a song like this, yet it adds a little playful energy in this offering. Nice pick, I could see myself returning on this one. hb: pretty cool, but MAN there has been a gacha overload in vgm scenes lately - this block has three different ones! maple_violet: not the strongest genshin song I've heard, feels like it changes a lot but never into something I find particularly interesting tgs2: [C+] Love the drums and flute in here though the song feels a bit muted to me? Fluttershy: First Listen: Light, jungle music. It doesn't do anything wrong, but I'm having a hard time focusing on it... feels like it just fades into the background with me for some reason. [Second Listen: I do not know why this is a genre of music that I dislike, but I'm seriously bouncing hard off of this track.] {I still don't know why I'm so against this song which sounds fine from an objective standpoint... I'm revising my opinion of this song to state that I don't hate it, but I'm afraid that I'm still really not able to enjoy this.} (20/100) uf8: Okay, somebody definitely looked at the list of genshin songs I've personally talked about wanting to see in a contest. Why'd you have to put this in the same block for me as layton x wright, man??? rwlh: [7] those drums are lovely dowolf: A Genshin battle theme that, like so many of them, fails as a battle theme. Encounters do not last long enough (and I do not want them to last long enough!) for a song with a 4 minute loop time. But even ignoring what I want, I strongly believe that a battle theme must have energy, and this? Doesn't. There's just a violin chilling. Nothing stirring me to battle, nothing opposing me, nothing that doesn't feel more like a coffee shop than a bar. We finally get some real movement in the closing seconds, but it's far too late. waveshine2001: The mix between the strings, percussion and flute, especially from 1:49 to 2:16 and from 3:10 to 3:40 is pure ecstasy. Hoyo did it yet again with just another absolutely peak battle theme. 9.5/10 --- Only the exceptions can be exceptional. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
