(T-115) Old School Runescape - Upir Likhyi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3nMx0rcYLc Nominated by: handsomeboy2012 Scores: 4 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 21 Comments: tazzy: C FL81: I saw "Composer: Ian Taylor" and the release date of this song and was a bit concerned, but apparently this is a remix of a much older song from RS3. MIDI vampire boss music (in a set against Castlevania music nonetheless!) I've played way too much RuneScape over the years, so I have a bit of a soft spot for its music. This one is only okay though. (oh god this is still going this should've ended 2 minutes ago) tgs2: [D+] This is a song that unfortunately overextended itself for too long to try and portray itself as grand and epic when it didn't need to. That bums me out so much as this song had the sauce to be amazing :(. Fluttershy: First Listen: Old School Runescape feels like another soundtrack where I'm missing the appeal. I keep seeing songs from this game get nominated and I'm not sure I've been a fan of any of them. Like in this song, the instruments feel so quiet and weak that it kills any emotional impact that it could have been going for and I'm left mostly falling asleep. I suppose the drumming makes me think of a platoon of marching snakes that slither along and make big lunges on the rapid tapping parts, That's... technically a thing to imagine, I guess. [Second Listen: ...Nope, I still don't get the appeal.] (27/100) uf8: After spending an unhealthy amount of time deciding on a theoretical runescape pick for the SUPER-C lists, only to end up picking an RS3 song instead (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIrvnXvlmkg), I think that probably definitively says how I feel abour OSRS songs. 6.6/10 rwlh: [4.5] I've heard other Runescape songs I liked more; unlike those songs, the samples get in the way for me here dowolf: Upper Licky(?) is a boss, I assume? It's simple and straightforward, but still manages to feel like more than it is. I'm not usually a fan of organs (or a synth that sounds like one?), but it works here. DanKirby: Pretty solid track. --- Only the exceptions can be exceptional. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
