Quibble Race, Part 2

I did manage to get this cherry done at least. The whole thing is really just luck which gets annoying really quickly; you have to just place some max bets and hope for the best. If you're lucky you can get up to 5000 before the final bet and go all-in on a 1:1 to get to the necessary 10000, but in most cases I have to go for a 2:1 or worse in order to have a chance. If you hit the final bet you win but boy I had a rough time getting there consistently. As I played I realized the Quibbles aren't random and knowing all the names helps you know who to bet on, but still, the outcomes are very random. After a couple of narrow close calls I finally had a win.

Lords of Diskonia, Part 8

This game is really wearing me down, man. Like, the game is fun, but this one sort of broke my will so bad that I haven't even played the game for two weeks, lol. I think I finally broke at this one moment where the AI managed to shoot a miner from across the board, bounce it off a rock, and get it perfectly wedged in a gold rock so it could hit it twice and also hit me twice, and it was just like, the most absurdly precise thing possible. It's like playing against Stockfish in chess - it's just going to make the perfect move every time. In this case, it fucks up like 5% of the time, but really the only way to win is to just be strategically more sound, but sometimes you just really bad map gens. Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to get the cherry for this one. It's really hard and really time consuming. I might grind it off stream, I don't even know.

I've been struggling with this game since I only have 14 cherries left at this point. Five of them are too difficult for me to get (Combatants, Star Waspir, Hot Foot, Fist Hell, and Lords of Diskonia), two of them I don't want to do (Valbrace, Rock On Island), and Campanella 3 and Cyber Owls I'm still trying to "unlock" by finishing more cherries. That means I have five feasible cherries left to go for - Campanella 2, Mooncat, Mortol II, Seaside Drive, and Pingolf. Campanella 2 and Seaside Drive should be simple enough, Mooncat and Mortol II are just a matter of playing games that I've not gone back to, and Pingolf should be challenging but I think it's doable and I'd actually enjoy playing it.
