When they get to Jerry's apartment, Julie hands Elaine the salad, and Elaine thanks Julie for it. George is incensed, believing Julie "took credit" for buying the salad. When Julie finds out about it, George accuses her of "handing someone a bag under false pretenses," and she breaks up with him. I mention this because I feel like...it's one of the few times George is kind of in the right? Julie could have said something like, "Thank George, he paid for the salad." But George does harp on it way too much.
