As soon as it was made official my wife and I got in the car to go for a drive. It was a beautiful fall day and we wanted to feel the fresh air after such a massive weight was lifted. There's an elderly black couple that lives a few houses up the street from us and as we passed by I saw the woman on her porch unrolling an American flag to proudly display it again after they took it down earlier in the year.

Here in Omaha there's a really busy intersection that's usually used for peaceful protests. We drove down there expecting some local MAGAts to be acting like idiots and as we got closer I saw a big crowd of people. Then we got up to it, and it was a diverse crowd full of people dancing.

That was such a great day. Not religious but praying we have an even bigger celebration this year.
