Yeah, and the development of a lot of those foods is quite interesting - I always thought that carbonara and other Italian pastas were "traditional" dishes, but apparently there's some speculation that they may have been invented during and after WW2 in order to feed American soldiers fighting in Italy.

Meanwhile you have pizza which was originally only a neapolitan dish that was actually popularized in the US. Its popularity in the US made it a worldwide phenomenon - I actually had Korean pizza when I was in Korea, and I was rather impressed by the ingredients they used.
