#6 Xinyan

Let the pyro party begin!

Before talking about Xinyan, let's take a second to note that from here on out, only Kuki Shinobu represents the other elements. Without her, the top 5 would be all pyro characters....which checks out. Although it's not a hard-and-fast rule that pyro characters are outgoing extroverts, while cryo characters are frosty and reclusive, there are some personality traits that characters of a common element tend to share...because that's how they get their vision in the first place. Electro characters are strong and self-reliant. Anemo characters are usually free-spirited (and have lost someone important in their life.) That's just kinda how it goes. And it so happens that pyro characters are -- with a couple exceptions -- the friendliest. Call it their warm personality. There are 15 total pyro characters, and not all of them make the top of the list, obviously, but the current leader in the reranking is also a pyro character, and there were a number of others in the top 20. So yeah, the rest of this list is FIRE! (And Kuki.)

Beginning with Xinyan.

Xinyan is a little bit of a misfit in that she embraces the spirit of rock and roll, a new musical style that hasn't caught on in Liyue yet. Running around with huge, poofy hair and a drum strapped to her back, Xinyan is just as likely in battle to pull out her "axe" as her claymore. There are other characters who have some musical talent, but for Xinyan, it is her whole identity. (Even though, arguably, she's not all that technically proficient.)

And you wouldn't know it just from looking at her, but she's also a tremendous sweetheart. Xinyan is one of the most caring, empathetic people on the list, with a case of RBF that literally scares children. It took well over a year after she was added to the game for us to actually see her in any meaningful light, and I was forced to admit I had the wrong idea about her entirely because, um, she's kinda bad. Mechanically, I mean. She's a bottom tier playable character, but Xinyan is a top tier friend. She not only will play her heart out in any performance, but she will step up for you and has a staggeringly wholesome and inspirational outlook on the world. The only obstacle to her friendship is being accepting enough to welcome her in the first place.

Activity: 10/10 -- Aside from being a musician who puts on shows of all sizes, she is incredibly open and accepting of all forms of entertainment and leisure, and would try anything once.
Backup: 9.5/10 -- The second archipelago event was two years ago, so my memory's a little fuzzy, but I recall her being incredibly supportive of everyone in her life.
Conversation: 8/10 -- Ignoring the Texas accent her English VA uses to separate her from the rest of the cast, (which correlates to other back-country accents in the other languages,) she's not the most articulate person, but she has a sort of eloquence to her spirit and enthusiasm.
Demeanor: 8/10 -- Outside of giving off inadvertent vibes of being an angry metalhead, Xinyan is about as sweet as they come.
Effort: 9.5/10 -- She's traveled all over Teyvat just to put on shows for people, and not in the furthering-her-career sense. She legit just sailed across the ocean to make some people happy.
