So if the majority of voters want abortion to be legalized, why should the laws be decided on a state-to-state basis? That sounds like the laws bending to what the minority of voters want.There is a certain divide where states can choose their laws and where the government can encompass over them with federal laws or by incentiving with federal money to comply. The Tenth Amendment states that states have the right to choose their own laws on things not prohibited by the constitution. Of course depending on the court of the time, this has been gray for awhile.
