But that is what the original 5 were for the most part. And they didn't make the show boring. Admittedly it was the simplicity and dated bombastic aura that caused it to endure in the pop culture lexicon not the characters but I think the point stands. They didn't need to do a grown up modern times realistic take power rangers.
