Got the game last night, and after putting a couple hours into it, I can safely say that I am glad I didn't pay more than $10 for it

First impressions:
Running is frustrating - once you choose a direction to run, you can only go that way, and any movement of the stick forces you into a complete stop.

Tope controls are always Grapple+Highstrike and Run+Kick. So if you change them, be prepared for some awkward button combinations to pull them off (ex: changing grapple from X to Circle forces the Tope to become Square+Circle)

Finishers are too easy to acquire. Within 2 minutes, you should already have your meter charged for a finisher. This wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that finishers are also incredibly powerful and will almost always end the match. I think I did 10 matches, with 9 of them ending in under 5 minutes. The only one that went past the 10-minute mark was a tag match, and that had it's own issues (MJF just watching on as I got pinned). So unless you are playing with friends, long matches seem impossible. Once the computer hits a finisher, they will go for the pin. This isn't like AEW tv where a match can have a dozen false-finishes.

Pinfalls are bullshit. I'll admit that I'm not as good as button mashing as I used to be, but if that's how pinfalls are to be kicked out of, that's fine. What the game needs, however, is a meter to show you how close you are to the actual kickout. That way, if my button spamming only puts me 50% of the way towards a kickout after the 2-count, I can stop trying to vibrate my fingers through the controller.

On the subject of pins, the desperation pinfall is too overpowered. As Adam Cole, I pulled off two consecutive finishers off of a single charge (Boom + Panama sunrise), and as I was going for the pin, the opponent was able to do a "desperation" rollup for the win. Pretty sure I was near full-health too.
