The funny part is, I'm willing to say that I'd probably be able to tolerate or even enjoy raw spinach as an adult, but being forced to choke it down and fight back against vomiting as a kid has pretty much rendered me psychological incapable of ever trying it. As a related aside, I find creamed corn to be equally disgusting, but love corn in general. So in that case at least it's definitely a texture thing.
